近期，道哥突然想起很久前看过一篇脉脉联合创始人张伟的文章，分享了脉脉6000万投放分众楼宇、电影映前贴片以及地铁车厢的广告，一个半月高效收获260万用户，豪赚3亿美金的经验。
虽然文中有不少的独门干货，但大多早期创业项目，都是没钱没名，无法与有钱任性的脉脉相比。一个互联网产品的用户运营，会因为其所处的发展阶段不同而呈现不同的特征，因而，所用的用户运营策略也不同。
早期项目运营
在产品运营的早期，一般是公开测试版本，其用户运营的核心目标是发掘和维系种子用户，并在最小用户规模下最大限度修正产品，快速迭代。
这个阶段，创业团队往往会缺乏营销费用，一穷二白。此时，在策略和技巧上更要突出运营的概念――用最小的成本实现最大的效能。强化创意策划并整合有效资源，围绕核心种子用户进行一对一的发展；在成本投入方面采用精益的方法，让用户口碑吸纳用户，真正做到产品体验制胜前提下的用户自然吸聚。
中期项目运营
在产品运营的中期，也就是产品的增长期，拥有了种子用户和早期用户后，用户运营的核心目标是发掘和吸聚弱关系用户。此时，团队的核心竞争力在于产品品牌。因此，用户运营在此阶段的第一要务是实现产品品牌的传播和营销，以实现弱“关系+品牌”信任之上的自然吸聚。
此时，创业团队拥有一定的风投资金，可以动一下“有钱任性”的念头，提升下自己的逼格。但是，依然需要明确，此阶段的核心目标是打造产品品牌。
中后期项目运营
中后期的用户运营，也就是产品用户的爆发期，经过早期和中期的沉淀，种子用户的数量和忠诚度、产品品牌的确立都取得了一定的成效。此时，用户运营的核心目标是以最快速度覆盖传播全体目标用户，并进行大规模转化。要高举高打，以钱换钱，全覆盖、全到达，在短时间内高效完成。
脉脉的广告营销就具有中后期用户运营的典型特征。首先是拥有了一定的用户基数，并有一定的风险投资专注于用户运营，在选择媒体渠道、营销形式、操作手法方面又都具有独特的特征。
首先，选择与其目标用户群体有高度重合度的媒体渠道。脉脉定位职场社交，其目标群体职场用户与分众楼宇，特别是CBD核心区楼宇这一渠道的契合度十分高;职场群体是电影消费的主体，电影放映前的广告投放的选择也很吻合;而在另一个聚集目标受众群体的场景――地铁，车厢内的电视以及平面都是必选的对象。
其次，一次性全在覆盖达到裂变式的爆发效果。在早期，由于资源限制，需要选择精益的方法，以滚动投入的方式进行运营，收效较慢。而在爆发期，要求一次性的全面覆盖，并在短时间成为绝对的新闻话题热点。因此，需要在短时间内集中所有资源一次性投入，实现“钱到用户到”的直接转化。
最后，爆发期打动用户的一定是产品的内涵，而非简单的产品功能和体验。因为一个产品最终取得商业上的成功，在同类产品中有决定性竞争优势，仅在技术层面这器物式上具有优势是远远不够的。因此，在中后期创业项目的用户运营策略中，产品核心理念和精神内核的传播，是取得用户爆发式增长的基本配备。例如此次脉脉的广告投放，都是以“打通职场人脉”这句Slogan为核心内容进行传播。
产品用户运营的零和效应
创业项目的用户运营，策略和操作手法选择的差异往往决定一个产品的最终成败。而最重要的核心要义，便是不同发展阶段其运营策略和操作手法不同。
在早期项目中，发展的方向和前景都不确定性，加上资源匮乏，直接决定了其运营的核心策略必须是滚动投入的精益化方法，以最小化可实现周期，快速迭代。
若此时错误地大规模投入资本，往往会因为产品用户体验的缺失，或产品的反馈负载过多而使得产品运营无法供给，容易造成早期用户的流失，无法实现很高的产品活跃度和用户留存度。
中后期项目，其发展方向和前景已经基本确定，起码得到了投资人的青睐，意味着其需要追求资源换资源(金钱换用户)的运营逻辑。
此时项目运营资源的投放，务必放弃早期滚动投入的精益化方法，需要高举高打，在最短的时间内实现目标用户的全范围立体式的深度覆盖传播，一次性爆发。只有这样，资源才不会受时间延迟、多平台承载分散的影响，而使得功效大打折扣。
用户运营，在不同阶段其策略方法的选择是一场零和游戏。在合适的时间选择合适的方法，或许能实现效能的最大化；否则，一切都可能化为乌有。选择时，需要明确自己的核心目标及适合手段，成败或许只在一瞬之间。
