打嗝在医学上是由不同称呼的。医学上是指气体从胃部向上流动，喉咙发出短促而急促的声音。这种现象也发生在未出生的胎儿身上。宝妈在孕后期，胎中的宝宝会吸收羊水进行呼吸这其实是一个发育过程，胎儿在无聊的时候就会做出这样的动作。
从另一个角度来说，这和大人吃饭的时候是一样的。在不断吞咽的过程中，会出现一层厚厚的肌肉膜，称为“隔膜”，将胎儿的胸腔和腹腔分开两侧。与人体其他器官一样，膈肌上分布着血液和神经系统。 一旦触发打嗝，膈肌就会向大脑传递信号，这时候就会发出声响，或者出现一些动作反应俗话说打嗝。
胎儿打嗝正常吗？
从医学的角度来看，虽然胎儿还没有出生，但是打嗝就跟成年人一样，属于正常现象。上面也有提到，为了像成年人一样呼吸，孕妇体内的胎儿会不断吞咽体内的羊水，这是一个锻炼呼吸能力和肺发育的过程。从这个角度来看，妈妈们完全没有必要担心胎儿打嗝的问题。这只是宝宝提高肺部呼吸能力的能力。如果再次出现打嗝，只需用手轻轻触摸几次即可。
如何判断宝宝是否打嗝？
据医学研究，当孕妇腹壁每天出现3-5次时，每次约3-15分钟，每分钟有15-30次或规律跳动时，说明胎儿已打嗝。很多妈妈会把它误认为是胎动，但是胎儿的这种运动是非常有规律的。妈妈们只要仔细观察，就会发现其中的奥妙和细微差别。
根据打嗝的位置可以大致判断胎位，准妈妈需要知道很多人可能想不到，胎儿打嗝也和胎位变化有关。如果孕妇感觉到腹壁左右下腹有规律的跳动，胎位应该是头位。如果发现跳动部位突然上升，很有可能是胎位异常，需要在医生指导下纠正位置。如果几天后发现胎位下降，说明胎位正常，不需要去医院。当然，不能忽视的问题是，因人而异。
由于不同的孕妇和胎儿的体质差异，孕妇的腹壁跳动也不同。无法通过具体的描述来确定具体的情况，还是需要辅助验孕结果的。
