褚时健经历牢狱之灾，2002年保外就医，74岁再次创业，培育出“褚橙”。
曾是中国有名的“烟草大王”，后经历牢狱之灾。2002年保外就医，74岁的褚时健与妻子承包2400亩荒山开始种橙，再次创业，用10年时间最终培育出酸甜比适合中国人口味的“褚橙”。2012年，“褚橙进京”声名大噪，褚时健摇身变为“橙王”，创造了一个传奇。
“衡量一个人成功的标志，不是看他登到顶峰的高度，而是看他跌到低谷的反弹力。”地产大鳄王石这样评价褚时健的传奇经历。从昔日“烟草大王”，到经历牢狱之灾，再到古稀之年成为“橙王”，用10年才培育出“褚橙”。尽管腿脚不便，但87岁的褚时健依然坚持定期到果园查看，“今年会有个好收成”，褚时健笑着说。他很清楚，品质才是成就“褚橙”的核心要素。他还有更长远的规划，2022年“褚橙”年产要达10万吨。
谈种橙
品质不好，互联网渠道也卖不出去
新京报：古稀之年重新开始新事业，十几年来你的初心是什么?
褚时健：我和妻子都不是闲得住的人，在家一天上下楼就要十几回。创业时日子过得不好，但我们有希望，要提高生活，就得通过投资。想要自己好，得实实在在地干，“褚橙”利润率高起来了，我们心不愧。
新京报：12年前承包荒山时，有没有想到橙子能通过互联网卖到北京?
褚时健：没有想那么多，那时候生活困难得很，想不到能用10来年时间把这个品牌做到全国知名。当时也没想搞那么大规模，只想搞好900亩的农场。我们不求人家上门来买我们的货，把自己的产品做好，别人自然会来买，我们一直想把品质做到最好。
新京报：“最好”的标准是什么?
褚时健：大家要说“好”。吃完之后，就像国内国外专家给我们做盲测，都说果子好。十个人里面有九个人说好，我们就满足了。
新京报：那你现在满足吗?
褚时健：应该说大家对我们要求做得更好，而我们也应该把它做得更好，质量还在不断地提升。
新京报：种橙子这件事，最难的是什么?
褚时健：市场和销量。我们怕产量一年多一年少，也怕市场不好，所以在产量稳定的同时也做好质量。
新京报：你觉得成就“褚橙”的，是你的传奇经历，互联网渠道，还是产品本身?
褚时健：是品质，我们从来都相信品质第一。我搞烟草生意的时候，大家说烟卖不掉，但我们价格比别人高，别人还专门找我们买。销售形式是随时代前进的，通过互联网售卖，如果品质不好，也卖不出去，只凭渠道就卖好是不可能的。第一是品质，第二是手段。互联网的出现，如果能保证快，又能保证质量，就可以采用它。
谈年轻人创业
“好事多磨，不要急躁”
新京报：以前大家叫你“烟草大王”，现在叫你“橙王”，你对想要创业想成功的年轻人有什么建议?
褚时健：现在80后、90后年轻人普遍有一个不足的地方，想要快速成功，但实际上有些事情很复杂，快不了就没有信心了，容易坚持不下去。我原来觉得做每件事都很困难，想要做到最好就更困难，所以创业要先有这个思想准备。
新京报：你和“褚橙”现在社会关注度这么高，有很多人来向你讨教，觉得累吗?
褚时健：累嘛，翻来覆去应付不过来，因为我跟他们对事业的要求和看法不同。我自己的经验可以拿来讲，过去我会犯错，希望他们不要再走我的弯路。这个我倒不烦，烦的是每天好多人来找我。
新京报：他们来找你做什么?
褚时健：比如有一个人在我这儿转了三四天，我就问他来干什么?他说自己是甘肃人，在西藏做生意赚了些钱，突然感觉赚钱不容易，问我该拿这些资金怎么办。这个问题我要了解很多才能判断清楚，但他来一趟确实也不容易。我就告诉他，首先，在今天乱投资的人很多，不要乱投资……类似的问题还有很多，我就说你们自己拿准了，好事多磨，不要急躁。
谈发展规划
希望“褚橙”保持长久生命力
新京报：你对“褚橙”未来有什么样的期待?
褚时健：希望更多的人能吃上“褚橙”，所以我们有一个6万吨的种植计划和一个10万吨的计划(2020年的年产量将达到6万吨，更长远的在2022年，再增加六七千亩，产量达到10万吨)。我们现在有一支队伍，用电话指挥就可以了，当年我们俩不太懂，别人也不太懂。凭良心讲，他们来的时候并没有把握把“褚橙”做到这么好，现在我们这支队伍的规模扩大了，随便去哪里种几万吨的规模也有把握，投资也减少浪费了，所以我们才会扩大。
新京报：最怕有什么遗憾?
褚时健：我希望“褚橙”能在很长一段时间里成为非常好的品牌。我不敢说西方人爱不爱吃，但在亚洲这些国家，相信他们会慢慢喜欢，尤其是新加坡、马来西亚等，但我们现在的净产还达不到出口。

Q1：你认为国内食品安全现状改善了吗?
褚时健：有改善，但离真的安全还很远，主要是环境，比如浇蔬菜的水、洗蔬菜的水不好。
Q2：你使用互联网订餐服务吗?
褚时健：现在还很少。经常会发现，我们当地卖的东西在互联网上很便宜，所以他们年轻人常用，我不想用，麻烦嘛。
Q3：请用一句话诠释你所理解的“互联网+”?
褚时健：互联网有价值，但不好做，尤其是生鲜。在网上卖货，产品要快捷，要做得更好。很多水果批发商会遭到退货，退10%还有利润，退到30%就亏本了，所以我们特别注意。
Q4：如果拿出1个亿资金投资食品行业，你会具体投向什么方向或项目?
褚时健：别的我不懂，还是会投资在橙子这一块。我们把下一步的6万吨目标、10万吨目标做到了，就可以了。
Q5：你上一次有饥饿感在什么时候?
褚时健：1959年。那时候物资特别缺乏，吃饭到最后都没有菜了，只吃饭都感觉很幸福。

●2015年 开设天猫“褚橙水果旗舰店”，拥有挂果基地3000亩35万株冰糖橙，年产“褚橙”6万-7万吨。
●2014年 建立云南实建电子商务有限公司。
