11月16日消息，国外媒体周末刊文称，美国是全球最大的经济体，有着全球消费能力最强的人群，因此很难想象有着远大目标的公司会忽略这一市场。然而，当前一代和下一代中国互联网公司似乎正放弃美国市场。这是一种正确的做法。

中国互联网巨头的发展建立在中国互联网和智能手机用户数快速增长的基础之上。尽管中国经济的增长正在放缓，但中国科技公司在国内仍有很大的发展空间。此外，它们也可以探索印度、巴西、东南亚，以及其他人口稠密的市场。尽管开拓这些市场并不一定成功，但这些中国互联网公司已习惯了国内激烈的竞争，而美国公司往往并未遭遇过这样的竞争。
几乎没有任何中国互联网公司在美国取得过成功。这一方面是由于，这些公司的成功并不依赖于美国用户，另一方面也是由于，即使这些公司在美国做出尝试，也不一定能取得较好的成果。
这些公司专注于国内市场有一个重要原因：中国消费类市场规模庞大，而这些公司的市场主导地位令人难以想象。去年，阿里巴巴平台上完成了近4000亿美元的交易，达到亚马逊和eBay交易额之和的两倍。根据eMarketer的数据，谷歌(微博)在美国互联网搜索市场的份额超过70%，而根据中国互联网观察的数据，百度在国内市场的份额高达80%。IDC的数据显示，小米在全球智能手机市场的份额约为5%，而几乎全部销量都来自中国国内。目前，中国市场的手机厂商估计达到1000家。
中国互联网巨头也位居全球市值最高的消费类科技公司之列，“BAT”是其中的代表者。
另一方面，如果这些中国科技公司希望突破美国市场，那么会发现，美国市场并不是那么友好。红杉资本合伙人沈南鹏表示，中美科技公司围绕本土市场的消费者需求打造了文化和产品，因此相互之间很难在对方的市场取得成功。他表示：“中国公司很难充分理解加州用户的需求。”
不过，也有一些公司是例外。10年前，联想收购了IBM的PC业务，从而进军美国PC市场。来自美国德梅因的年轻人可能没有听过大疆创新的品牌，但却玩过大疆Phantom系列无人机。从营收来看，这家来自深圳的公司已成为全球最大的消费类无人机厂商。
然而，数码产品销售和互联网服务运营仍有很大不同。对互联网公司而言，了解用户需求更重要。阿里巴巴曾试水美国电商市场，但并未成功。这足以成为前车之鉴。今年7月，阿里巴巴宣布出售几个月前开设的美国电商网站11 Main。这一平台上的买家和卖家均表示，平台的运营很“业余”。
这并不意味着，阿里巴巴和中国其他科技公司不希望在美国有所作为。美国仍是全球最重要的舞台，但并不是唯一一个能带来收获的市场。阿里巴巴目前帮助美国消费者和中国的制造商牵线搭桥，并希望未来10年内使40%至50%营收来自海外市场，但美国消费者并不是阿里巴巴董事局主席马云(微博)的关注核心。
阿里巴巴全球发展负责人表示，阿里巴巴的战略是帮助美国公司覆盖中国的消费类市场。阿里巴巴也正在新加坡、马来西亚、巴西和俄罗斯发展电商平台。类似地，小米正在关注印度、印尼和巴西。不过，打车应用滴滴快的目前专注于本土市场，而美国竞争对手Uber已经展示了对中国市场的雄心，例如将向中国市场投资10亿美元。
与滴滴类似，大部分中国热门创业公司的业务重点都是国内。但这并未妨碍投资者对这些公司增长潜力的乐观情绪。在CB Insights排出的143家最具价值私营科技公司中，有20家来自中国。除美国和中国以外，其他国家的上榜公司数均未超过7家。
对美国用户来说，无法用上来自中国科技行业的创新是一种遗憾。而对中国创业者来说，专注于国内市场才是王道。
