我们见过很多成功的企业老板，他们并非我们想象中那么完美，他们也有很多缺点，但是，有一样是他们的共同之处，就是在他们身上都有些特别过人之处，尤其是他们的思维模式的过人之处。这种思维我称之为“优势思维”。
什么是优势思维？
事实上，干企业不在于有没有短板，而在于有没有长处更为重要，而且长处要长得无人能及。这就是我要说的老板应具备思维模式之五——优势思维。优势思维是一种经营思维、营销思维，它要求我们做企业要突出优势，哪怕是一个点上的优势也行，而且这种优势是竞争对手在短时间内不可能可以企及的。
优势思维它不同于管理思维。管理思维要求我们做管理要标准化、制度化、流程化。“细节决定成败”就是最典型的管理思维，它要求关注每一道工序，关注每一个环节，关注每一名员工，关注每天的绩效。管理思维要求要求面面俱到，事事十全十美。
但是，管理思维不是赢的思维，而是完美的思维，关注的是过程不是结果。而优势思维则是赢的思维，经营的思维，营销的思维，它要求的是优势突出，与众不同，但又在情理之中。
过去我们很多企业是靠抓住机会成长起来的，但机会是不可持续或者说机会是稍纵即逝的，今天，我们做企业就不能老是在喊“抓住机遇，发展企业”之类的口号了，我们应该考虑培植自己企业的核心竞争力、塑造出自己的竞争优势。
事实上，直到今天，老板们因为接受了许多培训和学习的关系，有很多企业老板还是企图想通过“互联网＋”、“一路一带”、“亚投行”、“自贸区”这种机遇来突围，说实在的，能在里面摸到门路和抓住机会的人并不会多。当然，能够抓住机会的人都是高手。
反之，我认为企业老板尤其是传统企业老板还是应该回到自己的基本面上做好“自己的企业＋互联网”更为实际，多些考虑自己的企业的升级、技术创新、管理创新这些实实在在的企业现有基础之上的问题。
当然，过去企业可能都是靠抓住机会生存下来了，但靠什么才能持续发展？靠什么才能走出目前诸多行业产能过剩、出口遇阻的困局？我认为不可能还是靠抓机会，而应该是企业的相对竞争优势，靠的是企业自己培育的核心竞争力。
我们纵观很多企业的成功都是老板具有优势思维的成功。它告诉我们，做产品一定要做出优势，做出有特点的产品，做企业要做出企业自己的核心竞争力，要有自己企业的相对竞争优势。
苹果成功了，它靠什么成功？众所周知靠的是苹果产品优势；华为成功了，靠什么成功？靠技术领先优势；格力成功了，靠什么成功？靠“好产品，格力造”；康师傅成功了，靠什么？靠铺满中国大地大街小巷的巨大网络优势。这些成功靠什么？归根结底，都是靠他们老板的优势思维。
那么，如何培养老板的优势思维？
首先，老板要去掉面面俱到的思维模式。
很多老板走进一个误区，那就是“细节决定成败”，认为企业一定要把每一块短板都补起来，木桶才不会漏水，木桶才能装好水。
其实，在成功企业老板的字典里，压根就没有面面俱到，更不可能把所有短板补起来，因为改善无止境，企业每天都会遇到新问题，这只是管理思维而已。管理思维绝对不能作为经营思维使用的，我们常常看到很多大公司职业经理人走出来办公司做不好的原因所在。
在大公司里，职业经理人往往是在某一个领域里的管理者，并不是公司的经营者，他们根本不清楚公司是如何经营的，如何领先的，如何取胜的。
在自己创办公司过程中，他们也同样把自己在大公司的这种管理思维沿用过来，结果要求员工面面俱到。但小公司或初创公司资源就不足，加上老板要求面面俱到，结果公司没有重点，缺乏优势，公司自然就缺失竞争力，倒闭或亏损也就在所难免！所以，我建议刚刚创业的老板们一定不能没有优势思维，一定要去掉管理思维。
其次，老板一定要确立企业在某一个点上的优势思维。
如有的人是技术专长，有的人是管理优势，有的人则是关系取胜；同样，企业也一样，有的企业是技术优势，有的企业时网络优势，有的企业是客户关系牢靠，有的企业是产品质量稳定，有的企业是产品价格优势，有的企业是服务优势，有的企业则是快捷反应。
总之，每一个人、每一个企业都应该在某个领域里找到自己的特长和优点。华为一直在技术领域上做文章，于是把股份分给8万员工，任正非自己只要1.4%，目的就是为了留住人才，以免技术不继，保持技术的领先地位。阿里巴巴则是一直专注于平台的使用上的竞争优势，把平台建设成为适合中国企业乃至世界企业使用的平台。
再次，专注于优势的不断改善。
我们看到，家电企业格力电器一直就是专注于格力空调优势，从开始的质量优势关注到节能环保优势再到人性关怀优势，无一不是在空调技术老大上下功夫。所以，企业一旦确立好竞争优势点后，就要坚持不懈地在这个优势点上下苦功，把优势点发挥到极致。
老板一定要记住，没有最好，只有更好！我们常常看见有老板说，我们的产品非常好，绝对是一流的。其实，我想问一句：你是跟谁比较？跟你认识的几个小厂家的产品比还是跟国内同行标杆企业的产品比抑或是跟韩国企业、日本企业、德国企业的产品比？俗语有话：不怕不识货，就怕货比货。
最后，我想说的是企业在某一个点上的优势并不是永久的，我们还要学会根据市场需求作出调整。
企业优势无长久，但思维优势可以永远。只要我们不断学习，善于学习，在领域里就会找到优势点，塑造出自己的竞争优势。这个世界上，不怕你不聪明，就怕你不学习，不怕你走得慢，就怕你不愿走。
移动互联网年代，尤其是企业升级转型阶段，我敢说，优势思维是所有企业老板必不可少的思维模式之一。也只有具备了这种优势思维的老板才能培养出优势思维的员工，企业才能塑造出企业的相对竞争优势，才能在逆境中胜出！
