新榜近几个月来接连推出了荔枝FM榜、喜马拉雅FM榜及头条号自媒体榜等微信平台之外的监测榜单。例如云堆（汽车领域）、生命时报（健康领域）这样影响垂直领域的机构，也不约而同地在近期推出了微信公众号之外的榜单。这是一个重要的市场趋势，表明大量自媒体已经开始积极布局于微信之外的内容平台，并为第三方机构提供了足够多的数据样本。
从博客、微博的周期规律来看，一个内容平台的红利期大约在24个月左右。如今在微信公众平台引领的内容创业热中，常被忽视的一点是，微信平台上类似“罗辑思维”、“视觉志”、“十点读书”这样的旗舰级大号，集中出现在这个平台推出后的24个月中，此后再也没有出现过与这批“大号”体量相当的冷启动产品。
一种可能的推论是，微信公众平台的红利窗口正在关闭。
一、24个月：平台红利的窗口期
目前为止，由平台内容提供者而晋升为KOL的浪潮在中国互联网史上集中出现过三次，分别出现在博客、微博、微信公众号三个不同平台上。
新浪博客是博客时代最具代表性的一个平台，且仍在持续运营。通过其首页的“历史排名”栏目可发现，历史上最具知名度的一些博客，目前仍占据排行榜上靠前的位置。

以上几个国民级博客样本，无一例外都在2005年底-2006年间开通新浪博客的，可以推论，这个时间段就是博客作为内容平台的红利窗口期，原因有二：
1、活跃的流量急剧增加，平台内容供不应求，一旦出现高于平均水准的内容提供者，流量会迅速聚集形成马太效应；
2、平台方为满足内容需求，在内容创造者一端倾注大量资源进行帐号拓展，并给予优质帐号以非常可观的流量资源，推波助澜。
这些，此后在其他内容平台的上升周期中，都会再现。
在2007年至2009年（新浪微博上线发布）之间，仍是博客平台相对活跃的期间，但再也无法催生有出现如韩寒、徐静蕾这样的现象级博客。
把握“红利窗口”并非易事，在接下来的微博时代中，几无知名博客在新平台上延续成功的例子。

在选择观察微博的样本时，我们排除了例如姚晨、TFBOYS、吴亦凡、鹿晗等“超级大V”（他们的兴起主要受益于平台外自身的知名度），而关注那些主要从平台窗口期获得红利的大号，可以观察到：这些帐号多于2009年底-2010年之间，大约也是24个月的时间——规律总会复制自身。
当然，这一次，窗口的关闭和红利的消失也未能避免。2012年8月，微信上线“官号平台”产品，这个产品后来更名为“微信公众平台”，并彻底改变了中国自媒体行业的游戏规则。
二、微信的红利窗口正在关闭
以“罗辑思维”、“石榴婆报告”、“视觉志”等为代表的一大批自媒体，无疑是微信平台红利窗口期中最大的获益者。这些大号的脱颖而出，除了得益于定位、内容、风格等方面的优势，更直接的原因是：他们赶上了好时候。

1、以上所有帐号均开设于微信公众平台上线后的24个月内；
2、约60%的账号创立于平台推出后的1年内，3、4、5月为创立密集期，是最黄金的红利时段。
3、 约30%的账号创立于2014年，同年4月起微信正式发布平台运营规范，加强对刷粉、诱导分享等违规行为的打击，以及对于内容质量的把关。
一部分早期注册的微信公众号，甚至能够从微信官方得到超越规则的政策支持，因此他们的成功更加难以复制与再现。例如车托帮（北京）移动科技有限公司在早期以“微信路况”为名注册，获得微信团队的默许，凭借这一有浓厚“官方”色彩的名字，成功打造了近2000万粉丝的“微信第一大号”。
然而，微信公众平台同样也无法避开“红利窗口”的时效规律。
新榜在9月13日发布的《中国微信500强月报(2015.8)》显示，今年5月至8月，新榜指数前500的微信公众号总体阅读数连续下滑。

9月，阅读量的颓势雪上加霜。新榜《中国微信500强2015年9月月报》发现，500强账号中，有60.4%仍在提高发布强度，却仅有30.2%平均阅读数有所增加，36.6%的账号陷入越努力越没人看的尴尬境地。

数据显示，超过一半的账号迫于阅读量下降的压力，希望通过提升发布频次来改变现状。然而，仅十分之一的账号有效果，更有超过三分之一的账号“弄巧成拙”，白费了力气。
上一次自媒体圈如此紧张，还是在2年多前。2013年8月5日，微信公众号被分为订阅号和服务号，其中订阅号消息被折叠。这一举措对许多微信订阅号的流量造成了巨大的负面影响，这次版本更新也被公认为微信公众平台第一个“红利期”的结束。
创立“大号”的窗口期结束，微信阅读量整体下滑，种种迹象表明：微信公众平台的红利期可能正在关闭，唯微信马首是瞻的时代将成历史。
三、“后微信时代”
事实上，一部分行业领先的自媒体已经感知到微信平台的降温，并已经展开了跨内容平台的战略布局。笔者选取2015年11月“新榜指数”前100强中部分知名微信大号作为样本，观察知名内容生产者的跨平台情况：

这些数据已经充分说明，越来越多的“大号”已不再“将鸡蛋放在同一个篮子里”，而是向其他平台伸出手去。实际上，在一些微信之外的内容平台上，已经有一些新的自媒体势力正在沉默地崛起。
前段时间自媒体圈流传了一篇名为《3天，他赚了头条号7935元》的文章，其中便提到一个叫做“三甲传真”的头条号，曾经在3天里获得将近8000元的广告分成。这类“头条大号”，如三甲传真、图说军事、娱乐八卦姐妹淘、脑洞历史观等，普遍在微信上知名度不高，然而他们却已经成为这一新平台上“隐形红利”的第一批受益者。
微信关闭“红利窗口”，而在新平台上陆续出现了新的利益诱因。微信平台一家独大的局面，正在不可避免的走向瓦解。
四、内容创业的全新版图
“后微信时代”是一个微信统治力渐退，内容平台逐步多元化的市场阶段，并且会持续相当长的时间。
微信公众平台：
下一个足以颠覆微信公众平台的“红利窗口”短期内还不会出现。但在红利窗口关闭之后，获取流量和商业化的成本已经与日俱增，需要进行更加精细化的运营以摆脱同质化竞争。对于在这个阶段开始布局微信公众平台的创业者，可能需要降低预期。
QQ公众平台：
万众瞩目的新星，最有可能产生新一代“红利窗口”的平台。但出于外界尚不得而知的原因，测试期看起来非常漫长且审查严格，进入门槛极高。另外，移动QQ的活跃用户多集中在二三线城市的青少年人群，这也为自媒体获取高质量粉丝提出了挑战。
头条号平台：
腾讯科技旗下研究机构企鹅智库11月发布的《2015年中国新媒体趋势报告》将头条号和微信公众号共同认定为“自媒体主要平台”，足见这是一个值得重视的平台。另一方面，头条号是直接向自媒体提供现金补贴的内容平台。
凤凰、搜狐、网易等自媒体平台：
从口碑与资历上说，仍广为认同，但以流量和发展生命力来说，却已显露颓势。自媒体不太可能把这三者当做自己最重要的阵地。但是“瘦死的骆驼比马大”，三者客户端的装机量仍处于中国资讯客户端前列，因此仍然是非常重要的备选平台。运营者需要调低预期。

除了提前挖掘下一个“红利窗口”外，知名自媒体布局多平台战略，还有另几个维度的考虑。
其一，跨平台战略有利于将内容方打造为IP，营造立体化的战略格局并拓展商业模式，实现真正意义上的公司化运作。
其二，把鸡蛋放进多个篮子里，也有利于规避风险，不至于由于来自平台方的“不可抗力”而一损俱损，遭受灭顶之灾。这样的情形，已经在多家微信知名“大号”上发生过。

无论是拓展运作模式，还是分散风险，对于自媒体增强在资本市场上的吸引力来说，都至关重要。随着近期自媒体投资热的不断升温，VC机构势必会要求自媒体团队减少对微信的依赖度——这将成为“后微信时代”到来的又一动因。
在当下这场内容创业的狂欢中，如果还未能在微信上有所收获，那么你已经输掉了上半场；如果现在仍然把全部资源集中在微信上，那么你很可能正在输掉下半场。
