创业失败最常见的原因之一就是联合创始人间的纠纷，如果联合创始人本身就是朋友的话，这些纠纷将是一个特别重大的问题，除了创业失败的风险以外，你还可能会失去一段友谊。
非洲谚语道：“若要走得快，就独自前行；若要走得远，就结伴同行。”有关独角兽公司（即 2000 年以后创办、估值超过十亿美元的初创企业）的数据表明，这句谚语还需再添加些内容：在世界上 90 多家独角兽企业中，90% 以上的创办者是两人或者两人以上的团队。
与他人一起创业似乎能够大大提高成功的机会，但这也将引发一些风险。具体来说，创业失败最常见的原因之一就是联合创始人间的纠纷，如果联合创始人本身就是朋友的话，这些纠纷将是一个特别重大的问题，除了创业失败的风险以外，你还可能会失去一段友谊。所以，无论朋友与否，当你决定与他人一起创业时，请确保在开始之前就已经建立了一段牢固的关系，以下是一些将会对你有所帮助的方法：
与曾经一起工作过的人共同创业
许多创业者倾向于通过各种创始人数据网站和活动来寻找自己的潜在合伙人。但是与陌生人一起创业就像是你跟昨晚在酒吧认识的家伙闪婚一样。合伙人不仅仅是同事，他们还是需要分享决策、未来、潜在风险以及回报的伴侣。
事实上，你与合伙人共同工作的经历将有助于你们坚实基础的形成，利于进行开放性讨论以及调整彼此的优缺点。独角兽企业的数据就很好地说明了这一点：90% 的创始人团队曾有过相同的背景：同事（60%）或者同学（46%）。剩下的 10% 则有相交之处，例如由某位共同的朋友或者投资人介绍认识。
分工并发展互补技能
尽管在文章开篇的非洲谚语中，“走的更远”要优于“走的更快”，但是对于绝大多数的初创企业而言，两者需要兼顾。作为一家初创企业，资金有限，当市场上每个机遇闪现时，你总能发现其他创业者要早于你出手。
当与我的合伙人，也是我最好的朋友 Tomas 共同创办男鞋品牌 Freddy Bayne 时，我们具备类似的技能。起初，我们本以为我俩会分享决定，一起管理公司的方方面面。然而，这一切却被证明是无效的，因为即使我们在需要做什么上达成了共识，我们也会被对于琐事的不同意见拖慢脚步。
因此，我们决定分工，并规定彼此在自己所负责领域享有最终决定权。这个决定帮助我俩节省了好多时间。
如果团队中的两个合伙人具有共同的见解和方向，那么二人可以在创业的道路上走的又“快”又“远”。
阐明你的见解
如果你已经阐明自己或是同意了二人的共同见解，那么信任合伙人所做的决定就会变得简单不少。在我和 Tom 正式开始着手共同创业以前，我俩曾花了整整一个星期的时间来商讨业务愿景。
首先，我们先花了一些时间进行单独思考。然后，我们彼此分享了中立的观点并进行了讨论。我们的讨论不仅仅局限于大局，还涉及了文化、产品、企业行为以及人际关系等等。每当发现一个共同点，我们就记在共享的文档里，变成我们创业协议的一部分。
制定规则和原则
能够达成共识会使许多事情变得简单，但是却也无法完全避免个人纠纷的发生。这就像是两个具有独立人格的成人间交往，随着时间的推移，合伙人中的一方可能会觉得自己没有获得足够的重视或尊重。如果你已经与合伙人认识了一段时间，你们双方可能已经意识到了彼此的弱点。
在我自己的例子中，就像是我们所制定的见解宣言，每次对于需求以及担忧的探讨都是开诚布公、直奔主题，从未有过顾左右而言他。我们相互交流对于彼此弱点的担忧，因此我们可以采取措施进行预防，以免对我们的初创企业造成影响。然后我们将工作规则和原则落实到笔头上，形成白纸黑字，避免我们重复犯着老错误。
我无法说明它是多么的有效，还是举个例子吧，Tom 最担心我的弱点之一就是我无法做到应该做的那样去听取他人的意见。然后这一点就被写了下来，我们将其规定为一条准则，即“经常进行开诚布公的探讨，尊重并珍视对方的观点和想法，寻找共同点。”
现在，无论我俩谁觉得对方没在认真听自己的意见，就会找出这份协议。
让导师及顾问也参与其中
写下你的见解和价值观是一回事，每天遵守协议又是一回事。人类的本性就是易犯错的，尽管我们有着美好的心愿，但是有时还是会被自己的弱点击败。
为了避免这一切的发生，我们决定在公司的董事会中加入第三方力量：导师以及顾问，监督我们承担责任，帮助我们避免潜在的纠纷。
一位富有经验且诚实可靠的导师不仅能够为企业创始人制定问责制度，还能提供具有价值的建议，帮助企业获得潜在合作伙伴、投资者以及客户的社会认同。来自斯坦福的 Startup Compass 公司在对 100，000 家初创企业的数据进行分析时发现，拥有良好导师的初创企业，其发展速度是一般企业的 3.5 倍，收益高达 7 倍。
签署一份合伙人协议
合伙人协议是非常重要的一块制衡牌，没有的话将是一个巨大错误。在最糟糕的情况下，事事不顺心，这一纸协议能够为每位合伙人提供一种舒适且公平的解决方案。就像是婚前协议，这可能是最难进行讨论的部分，不过一旦你遭遇变故，它能够帮你省去好多麻烦。
一份好的合伙人协议应该对所有权、股份兑现、责任、决策、死局、离职以及散伙都有所规定。
当撰写一份这样的协议时，请不要将自己局限在网上找到的模板中。相反，在这上面多花些时间，不遗余力，因为它在紧急关头真的是无比重要。
