没有谁是最弱的，职场更可能是一个循环的环状结构。
“工作多，没提成，人家休假我加班。房贷没还清，保险自己买。不过好在我不用交停车费，因为我根本买不起车！”这是电影《十万个冷笑话》中一个总监助理的独白。尽管这位助理只是一只“走地鸡”，但这苦恼恐怕和所有处于职场食物链底端的人是一样的。
被尊重比被认同更重要
小喻大学毕业后就进了一家国企，眼睛圆圆，脸蛋圆圆，加上见人都笑的好脾气，很快得到了公司前辈们的喜爱。因为单身，没什么家庭琐事，她早上早早地来公司，晚上下班也不着急回家，周末值班从来没有半句怨言，因为她觉得“得到别人的认同、受到大家的欢迎很重要”。
渐渐地，同事们发现了她的“优点”，开始有意无意地使唤她——“小喻，我儿子感冒了，得带他上医院，周六你替我值班吧！”“小喻，明天上午你早点过来替我做个PPT吧，你大学里肯定特别擅长这个！”“小喻，这次我跟你一组做项目，你把前期的准备资料都找了吧。我下班要和男朋友吃饭，领导明天要。”
在经历了最初“学习雷锋好榜样”的自我安慰后，小喻终于受不了了。但当她说出第一个“不”字时，周围的人都异样地看着她：“还以为你是个随和的人呢！”
且不论职位高低，职场食物链底端有一类人，叫“老好人”。EAP（企业员工心理援助）心理咨询师谭洪岗告诉中国青年报记者，“好”的定义不见得是“善良”，更多是“软弱”，不敢或者不愿和他人直接发生冲突，逐渐沦为谁都能使唤的“公仆”。
“职场中存在大量的平级之间流程接口不太清晰的情况，如果不好意思和别人明确界线，不好意思敦促别人履行该负的责任，那就只能自己不情不愿地背着。”谭洪岗说，“出路一定在自己身上，如果自己都不能为自己挺身而出，别人是指望不上的。”
解决问题的前提是要把握好主线，知道自己要什么不要什么。“如果志存高远，在自己的承受范围内多做一点、多磨练一点，对自己的成长有帮助，也未尝不可；如果已经超出自己的承受范围，就要出面去维护界线。”谭洪岗提醒，其实有理有据地拒绝并不见得会激化矛盾，无须过于害怕，但要做好的心理准备是，“如果你之前给人留下的印象都是‘老好人’，在最开始转变时，周围人对你的变化不一定能接受”。
一名已经走过这个阶段的职场人士说：“当我最开始说‘不’的时候，哪怕合情合理，同事都很惊讶，觉得我没有以前可爱。但我觉得，被尊重比被认同更加重要。”
管理者要学会放手
一位私营企业主很焦虑，焦虑自己找不到合用的人。简而言之，能力不够的人不能用，能力强的人不敢用，交给谁都不放心。于是，上至公司战略规划，下至办公用品发票，他都不得不亲力亲为。相比之下，他的秘书反而挺轻松，反正什么事老板都要亲自决定，他在一旁照办即可。
明明是处在职场上层的管理者，却掉到“食物链”底端，怪谁呢？显然别人都没有这个能力，是自己把自己逼到了那个位置。
“管理者的主要职责是带领一个团队，负责分工协作、流程进度。如果把太多精力花在无关紧要的细节上，大事儿是你的，小事儿还是你的，精力肯定不够。”对此，谭洪岗的建议是，管理者应该学会信任他人，同时信任自己。
信任他人，意味着该指导的地方指导，该支持的地方支持，该放手的地方放手。如果团队成员大体是尽职的，有些小瑕疵也无伤大雅，没有必要锱铢必较。信任自己，意味着管理者知道风险在哪儿，也自信能担得起这样的风险。
一名女性创业者在开始一个新项目时，因为此前已有斐然成绩，找她谈合作的人很多。在对对方尚未深入了解时，她就一直抱着信任的态度。有人问她底气在哪里，她答：“即便你骗我一次，我也死不了，但我死不了，你就死定了。”这种自信，是对自己的眼光、经验、判断以及能在一定范围内承受颠簸起伏的信任。
底层只是阶段性的处境
金子是一家公司的最基层员工。从上班第一天起，他的吐槽功力就得到了极大开发，因为他发现，公司里到处都是不公平、不公正、不公开。“值班这个事，本来是大家轮流的，可是呢，高半级的人找借口说家里临时有事，就让我把他的班顶了。”“有个同事，经常和领导意见相左。结果年底评优秀员工，全体人员投票，居然没唱票。后来知道，他的票最多。”“有些下属，会来事儿的，差不多就成了领导的24小时听差，全身心地去巴结，帮领导接送孩子、买菜、周末安排旅游……”
金子觉得，自己毫无疑问就处在职场食物链的最底层，“领导说你行，不行也行；领导说你不行，行也不行”。
谭洪岗分析，其实对一部分基层员工来说，底层只是阶段性的处境。所有新人，除非是“二代”，都要经历“一步一步往上爬”的过程。很多最后做到高管的人，都有在基层部门的实践经验。“如果准备充分、擅于学习、下的工夫够，就会发展得比较顺利”。
而对另一部分本身没有那么大野心的人来说，找到能力和工作的平衡也是一种方式。“有些人可以往上走，但这样工作就会占用更多时间。他们更倾向于认为，工作只是带来稳定收入的途径，宁愿花更多时间在家庭上”。
“最难的情况是，既不操心也不甘心，没在工作上下工夫，也不满足现状，这种纠结的状态就比较难受，不如寻求彻底的改变。”谭洪岗说。
在北京这个已经开始建七环路的大城市，刘同学上班是一场长途跋涉，从北五环外到东三环，路上单程需要一个半小时。每天赶到那个职员不到10人的小公司，除了应付对电脑桌面图标数量都有要求的挑剔老板，中午还要西装革履去楼下超市排队买盒饭——这是在CBD中唯一能承受的日常午餐。
“用一句负能量爆棚的话来说，虽然长得丑，可是我穷啊；虽然挣得少，但干得还不开心啊！”终于，在夏天即将结束时的一列地铁上，刘同学用短信干脆利落地辞了职，反正公司也没给他买保险，连离职手续都省了。
“如果你在职场，哪怕看起来处在底端，也不是最糟糕的。底端的感觉无非是你在几十人、几百人的公司小环境里所处的位置。视野放大一点，毕竟很多人想进职场还没进来。就像一个女生说她心情很差，因为觉得‘自己是哈佛大学最差的学生’，但放眼全世界，她一点都不差。”谭洪岗说。
谭洪岗最后提醒，称之为“食物链底端”，其实是把职场默认为一个从底层到顶层的金字塔结构，但在现实中并不尽然，“没有谁是最弱的，职场更可能是一个循环的环状结构”。
