眼看你的同事升官的升官，加薪的加薪， 你却原封不动。这是怎么回事？
也许你因此百思不得其解，甚至怨声不绝。出现这种情况，你有没有想 过从自身来寻找原因？当然，这种情况落在你的头上，不一定是你的能力不足，而是你的人际关系不足。如果你人际关系不好，你就不会出头，这是残酷的事实。为了以后的发展，请你细心阅读下面的几点，这些可能是你停滞不前的原因：
笨事1：你觉得把份内工作做好，就够了
错了！工作能力、效率、可信赖的程度、甚至你的学历，都不会是单一指标，也不会是最重要的。无论你是老师、护士、会计或秘书，工作环境本身是人组成，每人有每人关心的事务与优先顺序，学习如何调节与上司或同事之间的重心，这就是所谓的公司politics(政治)。
不管你如何愤愤不平，你在这公司的前途，从如何面对小争执口角到摆放文具，到大事情像这个月谁多修一天假都有影响。
笨事2：你不理会谣言
错了！谣言是公司的生命力，很多事情的迹象从那开始，山雨欲来前的风向征兆，即使谣言的细节都不对，但是无风不起浪，你可以推测出些端倪。譬如说，有人看到最近你们公司的敌手与总经理开会，(一个人说不算，至少等到有三个人都知道这件事再说，如果你急着传话，告诉你的人知道是你传出去的，下次你就不会听到消息了)。
然而有时你也得加入小道消息，一副没有兴趣的脸也会让人以后传播时略过你。大原则就是，你有兴趣听，但不要让大家都公推你是广播电台。
笨事3：你认为同事可以是患难知己
错 了！几个月下来，小玲对你的家务事清清楚楚，她听到你妈妈在电话上唠叨，知道你叫男朋友的昵称，连你的生理周期她都晓得，再加上你们形影不离(上班时 间)，吃中饭时通常是你倾吐心事的时候。这一切让你觉能交到这么贴心的朋友真好。但是如果三个月后，你升官加薪，而小玲没有，更巧的是，你成为她的上司。 这时，你想，身为你的最好朋友，她应该会替你感到高兴吧，希望如此。但是，权力与金钱常常会改变许多人的想法，尤其是关系到一人的前途时。如果小玲不再是 你的朋友，你这时可能会开始担心你以前透露的所有秘密。当然，最不幸的结果是演变成莱文思基与琳达崔普，你的交谈被录下来..
笨事4：你忽略轻视你的敌人
错 了！大部份人认为朋友给我们最大支持，敌人企图伤害我们，捏造莫须有，不去理会他。事实上，朋友，说好听的给你听，保护你，你的笑话即使难听他们也会说好 笑。
相反地，你的敌人恨不得抓到你的小辫子，你一出错，他们马上指责，不会保留，他们攻击你最脆弱的地方——朋友绝不会出现的地方。所以正视敌人着眼处， 这个好机会让你可重新修补盔甲，弭补缺点，下次他们再来，你已经气定神闲，准备好了。
笨事5：你常常很露骨的拍上司的马屁
错了！有些上司希望听到所有角度的讯息，但是大部份的经理级不会，他们也是普通人。也就是说，他们宁可听到好消息而不是坏消息，嘿！那就是讹娱奉承，拍马屁吗？差不多，只是有技巧与心意的区别：经理您今天看起来好年轻，这样子的话是很明显的，上司不是笨蛋，你昧着良心的话他/她也听的出来。
你要找出他/她真正让你佩服之处，然后适时赞美，就像你的父母夸赞你房间很干净，当你考满分时学校老师夸赞你一样。“经理，你昨天的处理方式，让我们能够把任务顺利进行， 多亏有你出马”。你看，没有拍在马腿上，以后你做事肯定会顺多了。
