严漫话不多，脸上总挂着甜甜的笑容，如果不是耳朵上挂着的助听器，很难让人相信，这个乐观开朗的女孩一只耳朵的听力近乎为零。
金色的秋天来了，严漫也迎来收获季节：虽然创业时间不长，但她养的乳鸽在武汉各大农贸市场、酒楼供不应求，还为周边的养殖户提供种鸽，年销售额逾300万元。
既然找不到工作，那就给自己打工—— 美院毕业生选择养鸽致富
1989年，严漫出生在湖北一个普通家庭，幼时因用药失当导致一只耳朵失聪。这让她的人生之路比常人多了一分艰辛，亦炼就了她坚韧不服输的个性。“从小读书，她就付出了比别人多一倍的努力，别人在玩的时候她都在看书做题，绝不肯落后于人。”严漫的母亲对记者说。
2013年严漫从西安美术学院毕业，虽然成绩优秀，但她找工作并不顺利，“很多时候，我去公司应聘，人家看见我戴的助听器，根本不愿意给我机会。”碰壁的次数多了，倔强的严漫横下一条心，既然找不到合适的工作，那就自己当老板，给自己打工。
选择什么项目呢？严漫打算做农业，并用半年时间考察了市场，“我去了河南、湖南等多个省份，跑遍当地农贸市场，最终决定养鸽子”。
2014，严漫和来自武汉职业技术学院的同伴一起，在青山注册成立武汉鸿飞鸽业科技有限公司，在黄陂区罗汉街建起了占地100余亩的生态养鸽基地。
不用画笔也能绘出精彩——拟建湖北大型养鸽基地
原本拿画笔的手现在却用来养鸽子，跨越如此之大，严漫坦言“中间遇到过不少坎儿”。
因为起步资金不够，一开始她只买了1000对白王鸽和灰王鸽。“去外地调研市场时，我也曾‘卧底’当地的养殖场，偷学养鸽技术。原以为养鸽不难，谁知基地建起来后，尽管百般精心喂食，鸽子还是不断死亡，2个月就死了400多只。”
看着每天都在减少的鸽子，严漫心里很着急，是放弃还是坚持？最终，不服输的她选择“输也要输得明明白白”，一定要找出问题出在哪儿。
那段时间，严漫吃住都在养鸽基地，一天只睡几个小时，大部分时间都在观察鸽子的状况。最终她发现，鸽子死亡是因为疾病预防技术不到位。她一边请教专家，一边买回大量养殖书籍自学养鸽技术。最终，半路出家的严漫变成了肉鸽养殖的能手。
爱动脑筋的严漫还勇于创新，她自主研发的自动化机械养殖系统，不仅提高了养殖效率，还降低了人工成本。“用传统的人工养殖方式，1个工人最多喂养14对鸽子，而采用机械喂养，一部机械可以同时投喂食54对鸽子。这就意味着，1部机械可以代替4个工人。”
目前，鸿飞鸽业常年存栏量在8000对以上，计划未来两到三年存栏30000对-50000对以上，填补湖北无大型养鸽基地的空白。

严漫自己的客厅小黑板上写了一句话：今天不努力工作，明天努力找工作。但很难想到，对“工作”如此上心的严漫今年才25岁，却已是一家肉鸽养殖公司的老板。她的公司注册地在青山区，但占地百亩的养殖基地在黄陂。
与其求人收留 不如自己创业
日前，记者来到她位于黄陂罗汉街农村周边的养鸽基地，4间鸽舍分布在院子右侧。目前她已养殖了一万对鸽子，主要销售给农贸市场和酒店，月均销售额已达5万元。
记者在一个鸽舍里找到了严漫，她个子高挑，皮肤白皙，鼻上架着一副眼镜，大红色羽绒服外穿着一件白色工装服，她正顺着一个个笼子观察鸽子的成长情况，并在每个笼外的卡片上做笔记。
虽然记者站她身后许久，但她并没一丝察觉，因为她的双耳完全失聪。
严漫小时体弱，2岁半时一次腹泻由于注射了过量的庆大霉素，导致她半年内听力全失。
严漫从小喜欢画画，高考后顺利考入西安美术学院园林艺术设计专业。经过4年的学习，她原以为自己会成为一名设计师，或是一名美术教师，可到毕业求职时却屡屡碰壁。
严漫决定：与其求人收留，不如自己创业当老板。
她给小鸽子建起“相亲屋”
“爸爸以前养过鸽子，而且鸽子很可爱。”严漫一下子就想到要养殖肉鸽。此外她还有一个心思，养殖业不用过多与人交流。
毕业后，严漫和妈妈到北上广、河南、湖南等地考察市场，学习技术。今年4月，她在黄陂农村流转了一片百亩土地，正式当上“鸽老板”。
拿画笔的双手开始与鸽子打交道。严漫的双手有很多疤痕，都是被鸽子抓的。“有时抓鸽子去生产，有时捡鸽子蛋时也被抓。”
现在严漫已练出一身抓鸽子的好本领。鸽子生长习性特殊，两只鸽子必须是“自由恋爱”才能生产。为此严漫为还没性成熟的小鸽子建了一个“相亲屋”，屋长60米、宽12米、高5米，数百只幼鸽可以在这里自由飞翔。
每到夜里，严漫就举个手电筒，趴在屋外观察哪两只鸽子靠得近。“贴得近的就是谈恋爱的，可以一起抓了去生产。”她得意地说，确定目标后她就把灯关上，爬进去抓，一抓一个准。
没了灯光鸽子就不爱动了。她也有失手的时候，“失手了就是一身毛呗。”
严漫平常都住基地，不爱回城逛街。但实际上她却是个家境优渥的标准“白富美”。吴顺英夫妇多年经商，对严漫支持不小，严漫的妹妹现在英国学金融专业。
25岁的严漫为自己订了个很高的目标：用5年做成省内最大的养鸽公司，还要办一场个人画展。她对此信心满满，因为公司开业仅半年，她已经开始赚钱了。
