创业是一条辛苦的道路，但是很多人不满足于现状，想要趁着年轻搏一搏，于是他们走上了创业这条道路。有的人成功了，有的人失败了，但是无论是成功失败，他们的人生会因为一次改变而变得不同。
常九矿2005年大学毕业，他和大部分同学一样选择参加工作。2008年因不满足于当时的薪水，他决定自己创业。从跟女朋友半夜爬起来包饺子到如今成了连锁店的负责人，他仅用了3年左右的时间，如今，他的饺子店已经开到了8家，其中有5家直营店 、3家加盟店。他就是青岛琴岛状元餐饮管理有限公司总经理常九矿，常九矿感慨地说，“其实，卖水饺也能成就大事业。”
大学时的梦想是当老板
常九矿是在济宁滕州市的一个小煤矿上长大的，一家六口人靠父亲微薄的收入生活。2001年9月，承载着父母的期盼，常九矿考入我校国际商学院工商管理系，父母希望他大学毕业后留在青岛，找一份体面的“办公室工作”。作为一个从农村走出来的孩子，对于在城市的生活压力，常九矿比他人体会得更深刻。
“对我来说，想要在城市里立足，一切都要靠自己的努力。”常九矿说。大学毕业后，他曾做过电子公司的推销部副主管，在民办高校里教了一年书。“我想趁自己年轻的时候闯出一番事业来，自己当老板是我在大学里就有的梦想。”怀着这样的信念，常九矿辞去了教师工作，去追逐自己的梦想——自主创业。
经过多方调查，常九矿选择了风险较小的餐饮行业，他决定开一家饺子店。虽然大学里学的专业对他开店有所帮助，但是“实战经验”他得从头学起。为了成为一名合格的老板，他去餐馆里免费给人家打工，切菜、炒菜、刷碗、端盘子，他什么都做。为了练颠锅，他的右手拇指磨出了七八个血泡。他还特意拜一位做小笼包的师傅为师，学习制作饺子馅。2008年8月8日，常九矿用借来的三万五千元钱，在李沧区九水路开了他的第一家餐馆——“状元水饺”，迈出了自主创业的第一步。
说起“状元水饺”这个名字，还有一段故事呢。小学时常九矿的学习成绩一直不太好，四年级的一次期末考试前，他的母亲特意为他包了他最喜欢的白菜猪肉水饺，让他开心的不得了，结果那次考试他得了第一名。以后每次考试妈妈都会为常九矿包水饺，而他也几乎每次都考第一名。这在学校里一度传为佳话，大家都称常九矿为“状元”，而他妈妈包的水饺也被称之“状元水饺”。在取店名的时候，常九矿自然想到了童年的这段记忆，他希望“状元”两个字给他带来好运，也给每一个来吃水饺的人带来好运。
认准了的事就要做下去
当初选择自主创业时，常九矿心里就清楚这是一条充满艰辛的路，不会一帆风顺。开第一家店时，常九矿身上背着四万多元的债务，心里承受着巨大的压力。为了不让父母担心，他一直瞒着他们，直到饺子店步入良性运转他才告诉父母实情。创业之初，为了节省开支，他没雇一个员工，每天凌晨三点四十准时起床，和女朋友一起和面、生炉子、卖早餐、进货、包饺子，一直到晚上十点才能收工休息。每天他自己一个人要提着几十斤的货物挤公交车，有时候东西多了，售票员还不让他上车。为了省下租房子的费用，常九矿和女朋友晚上干脆睡在店里，桌子拼一拼，就是一张床。
付出就有回报。开业第一个月，“状元水饺”的盈利仅够支付2000多元的房租。四个月后，饺子馆的生意越来越好，经营也越来越顺手。这样，常九矿在不到一年的时间就赚了近十万元。但常九矿并没有满足于此，2009年3月8日，他又在母校附近的青大一路开了一家连锁店。现在青大店的经营也已经走上正轨，不论是水饺还是饭菜的口味都赢得了学生和周围居民的喜爱，每到吃饭的时间，大堂里就坐满了人，许多顾客成了饺子馆的回头客。
2010年2月，常九矿又借了20多万元，投资47万元在李村开了第三家连锁店，店面面积有600多平方米。身负剧债，常九矿压力很大。新店刚开业，生意并不理想。为了尽快找到影响饺子馆生意的因素，常九矿深入地进行市场调查，与员工一起讨论研究。经过努力，饺子馆存在的问题终于被找到。常九矿对症下药，打算将店里的饺子间(即包饺子的地方)公开化，让顾客可以看到厨房包饺子的整个过程，使客人吃得放心。此外，常九矿还决定重新设计菜单，将菜品的价位降低一个档次，以更好地满足顾客的需求。
“现在问题正在解决中，虽然现在遇到困难，但我一定会坚持!只要不停下前进的脚步，这就不是我的终点。”常九矿说，“在创业过程中，遇到困难是在所难免的。因为创业之路就像一条不断上升的正弦曲线，总会有波峰和波谷，在低谷期只要我能坚持走下去，总有一天会拨开云雾见日出。”
在开第一家店的时候，由于经济原因，常九矿没请大厨，和面、调馅、炒菜都自己来，到了晚上他和女朋友都累得直不起腰来，感觉胳膊都不像是自己的了。但看到生意越来越红火，收入也在一天天增加，他们就感觉充满了力量。就是凭着这股决心和毅力，四万多元的债务只用了四个月就还清了。在饺子馆越来越正规后，常九矿希望能帮助像他一样家庭贫困的大学生。现在他青大一路的店里有三个大学生在做兼职，除了约定的报酬外，常九矿还替他们解决一日三餐。
常九矿是个闲不住的人，他喜欢自己动手解决问题。在李村店的筹办过程里，大到店面价钱的谈判、室内的装修，小到简单的电路水路的铺设、菜单的设置，常九矿都亲力亲为，甚至连厨房的水管都是他亲手接的。只要自己能解决的问题，常九矿从不请别人帮忙，在解决一个个困难中，他体会着自己动手的乐趣。在常九矿看来，很多事情只有亲身动手去做，才会理解得更深刻，对自己的经营管理才能更有利。
卖水饺也得不断创新
除了注重食品安全，常九矿还不断创新。“冰花煎饺就是我们店最引以为豪的饺子品种。”常九矿笑着说，他这两年，虽然不用自己去包饺子了，可也一直研究煎饺的最佳做法，从锅的选择，灶具的火力大小，到淀粉水的浓度，再到煨锅的时间，所有的细节，他都仔细地分析，“现在我们的冰花煎饺应该达到一个很高的水平了，我的研究算是没有白费。”
现在常九矿的几家饺子店年利润已经近百万，但他对饺子店的未来还有更高的期望。“我喜欢餐饮这个行业，也会把它当成事业去做。”常九矿向记者透露说，他还打算吸引一些社会资金来投资，打造“琴岛状元水饺”这个品牌，并且在未来开设中型旗舰店和小型标准店，设计全新的透明化厨房和敞开式操作间。同时他也想帮助一些大学生实现创业的梦想。
创业得益于大学期间的锻炼
常九矿十分珍惜自己在大学里的经历。除了学习，常九矿做过多份兼职，他推销过传呼机，买过电话卡，做过服务员，开过大学内的信息管理公司。这些经历让他切切实实体会到，在大学里除了学习课本知识外，也要多参加社会实践活动，广泛地接触社会，克服眼高手低的缺点。在学校里充分锻炼了自己，毕业后才能更快更好地适应社会。
常九矿说，大学毕业应聘到恒星学院做教师时，安逸悠闲的生活让他感到很滋润，可不久他就发现，这种生活无法跟上社会前进的脚步，跟自己的理想相差很远。为了追逐梦想，他决定辞职，自主创业。创业这条路走下来，虽然开始的日子很艰苦，但他始终坚信自己的选择是正确的，只有适应了社会的需求，自己的努力才能换来更大的回报。经历过风雨，才能最终见彩虹，这是常九矿最深的体会。
破釜沉舟，不给自己留后路。敢闯敢干，敢于吃苦的常九矿就是这样，一路走来。拨开云雾见日出，常九矿没有停下前进的脚步。他的目标是：做强做大，做出品牌。他计划利用七八年的时间，把“状元水饺”做成岛城的餐饮品牌。
