梦想和现实的距离到底有多远？福州的80后创业小伙子林锦捷就一直在现实世界中努力逐梦。
天生的“宠物爸爸”
林锦捷从小喜欢小动物，小学就当起“宠物爸爸”的他养过的宠物宝贝数量已经数不清了，种类从最初级的小金鱼到最常见的猫狗再到较个性的蜥蜴、大型鹦鹉，“宠物爸爸”的经验丰富。
与林锦捷对宠物充满了爱截然不同的是他的父母极其反对他在这些小生命身上花时间，父母甚至偷偷把宠物送人，但是林锦捷总是掏光身上所有的钱再一次带小宠物回家。
“狗爸爸”变身疯狂打工仔
“每天下班之后骑着电动车去遛狗是我觉得最快乐的日子。”在林锦捷离开学校进入社会之后的两年多时间，他都身兼多职，为创业做贮备。
父母对孩子的期待是有一份稳定的工作，安逸的生活，林锦捷对自己的期待远不满足于此。他跟父母陷入了无声的斗争，父母不愿给他创业基金，他只能靠打N份工来积攒，货车司机、搬运工、快递员都曾是他的身份，最多的时候，他同时做3份工作。
两年后，他带着他的第一笔创业基金开了第一家宠物店。
宠物小店1.0 逐梦
第一家小店在塔头附近，沿街却只要1000元左右的月租，由于资金有限，林锦捷的第一家宠物小店可以用简陋来形容：“店面比较旧，里面没有任何区域分割，一进门就是浓浓的气味。”
初次创业的林锦捷没有任何经营的经验，一切的出发点都是省钱。为了采购有营养又能让毛色发亮的食物他每天一大早就上市场，雇不起员工的他不仅负责了宠物的美容，还要做育种、接生。在狗狗的生产期临近的时候，他还得24小时吃喝睡在店里，以保障狗妈妈安全生产。虽然小店环境不吸引人，但是年轻老板的投入与认真，还是为小店带来了回头客。在经营了几个月后，小店基本能保持每月上千的盈余，但是付出的就是林锦捷的每一个清晨和黑夜。
背负生活的压力，林锦捷的宠物小店无法纯粹，盈利变成了经营的第一目标。一年半后，虽然小店经营稳定，但是位置和环境受限让经营无法做出突破 ，再三思量林锦捷选择了关门。
宠物小店2.0 圆梦
关掉第一家店后，林锦捷没有再仓促的选择好地点重开宠物店。正巧这时他的表哥从深圳回来，在表哥的鼓动下，他加入了表哥的创业项目，这三年的工作中，林锦捷不断学习提升，充实自己。三年后，他有积蓄了，心中开一家宠物店的梦想依然还在，与第一次不同的是这一次关于这间店的方方面面他有了全面的规划。
1、选址明确。这一次林锦捷将店址选在了五四北的富人区，这边大多数人家都养宠物，而且不止一只。在于福州“遛狗群”的交流中他也得知这附近有一块极好的遛狗场地，可以说这附近的“顾客”很多，而且具有消费能力。
2、主打温馨牌。这一次林锦捷手头有相对充分的资金，能将心中的设想一一实现。走进他的旺财小宠就会发现有一层玻璃将宠物隔离在另一个区域，这使得店内的空气质量大大提升。在等候区摆上了沙发、茶几，让主人在等待自家小宝贝的时候能够更惬意。
3、只做专业的事。与第一次的盲目、瞎忙不同，这一次林锦捷对小店的定位更清晰。他熟悉宠物相关产品，擅长宠物美容，他就只做这些，将能做的事情做到极致。
宠物店一直是林锦捷的梦想，从三年的前的“向钱看”到现在的“追求品质”，他完成了从逐梦到圆梦的转变。梦想跟现实的距离有多远呢？“仰望星空，脚踏实地”或许就能一步步地拉近。
