一、重视诺言。成熟男人绝对不会出尔反尔，他对自己的每个承诺都相当重视，在许愿之前周密考虑，自己的话是否真能兑现，如能兑现的话他决不说，言出必践。他的每一句话都让你觉得放心、可信任。满嘴跑火车、乱放空炮、迟迟拿不出行动的男人，与成熟不沾边。
二、不夸夸其谈。成熟男人从不随随便便高谈阔论，他会把握适当的沉默，说话声音清晰但不乱嚷。随便喝点酒就把自己的点小经历小故事拿来满桌子大讲，不用喇叭半屋人都能听见的，这种男人，最多博听众一笑，谁也不会把你那五花八门的所谓“奋斗之路”放在心里。
三、有学识而含蓄内敛。他们读书，接受新事物新信息，不断丰富自己的内涵。但他们不张扬，他们的才华只在必需的时候才展现出来，决不会为了满足虚荣去刻意卖弄。他们如醇厚的酒，越品越有味道。
四、心胸宽广。成熟男人不斤斤计较，不贪图小便宜，不在乎吃点小亏，不喋喋不休地抱怨这抱怨那。他们的眼光从不被琐碎事务绊住，对于家庭中的小争吵，他们经常是“首先回头的天使”。

六、勇于承认错误。成熟男人不顽固，能接受不同意见，善于采纳好的建议。对于自己的不当决策，他们勇于承担后果，从不找借口搪塞推诿。
七、意志坚定。成熟男人有处变不乱的心理素质，他们一旦确定自己奋斗的目标，就朝着它努力，遇到挫折，他们分析原因，吸取教训，及时修正方向，但决不轻易言退。他们会疲倦，但在休整后，又信心十足地出发了。
八、干净整洁。成熟男人尊重自己的外表。他们留最适合自己的发型，下巴干净没有胡子茬，面部不油腻，不留长指甲。衣服不一定要名牌，但整洁大方，不会穿得皱巴巴象个送快递的。他们决不会穿黑皮鞋配白袜子，穿着西服去旅游。
九、尊老爱幼。成熟男人有爱心，有社会责任感，有中华民族的传统美德。他会给老人和孕妇让座，会给受灾地区捐款捐物，会帮助失学儿童，会义务献血……这些事情他们不一定全做，但他们决不会什么都不做。
十、有业余爱好。他们不是只知道工作的机器人，懂得用业余爱好来调节自己紧绷的神经，工作休闲两不误，这使他们有情趣。怪不得女人们说：有爱好的男人不容易变坏。
一个成熟男人一定非常孝敬父母，他决不会让父母在北风呼啸的大年三十伫立村口苦苦等候，也不会让父母捏着昂贵的处方苦叹着回到家里熬碗姜汤对付病痛。当父母衣衫褴褛地来到他干净亮堂的公司时，他会笑着拥上去，拍拍他们身上的尘土。他肯定会常给父母打电话，甚至有兴趣买张邮票写封家信，像做学生的时候那样。
一个成熟男人一定非常爱自己的妻子，这种爱，不仅是嘴上说声：“我爱你”，而是爱在心里，在心底最柔软的地方，酝酿得浓浓得、通过眼睛幽幽地传递出来，时时刻刻地对着妻子传递出来。当妻子生病时他一定像搂着儿女一样搂着她，把妻子深深暖在他的怀里；他会在打雷的雨夜枕着妻子睡觉，无论外面有多么重要的应酬；妻子的第一根白发一定是他第一个发现，然后，他会以感恩的心理津津有味地吃完妻子做的每道菜，哪怕是忙碌时匆匆熬的一锅白粥加上一碟咸菜；冬日里，他会用宽厚的手掌爱抚着妻子的皱纹，嘴里喃喃道：“你还是这么美！”而此刻，他的眼里一定闪着泪花！
一个成熟男人一定常做家务，因为他清楚家是共同的港湾，即使有家庭保姆，妻子也最爱睡丈夫整理的被卧，最爱穿丈夫洗净的衣服，她最爱看丈夫拖地的样子——那姿势，在她眼里是多么的帅气和性感！
一个成熟男人一定会努力赚钱，即使最终所获无几，但他决不气馁，他会奋斗一生，穷困潦倒的时候也决不会在妻儿面前表现出半点沮丧。一个成熟男人一定是乐观而勤快的。
一个成熟男人一定会陪妻子上街，他会这样想：领导叫我周末加班，我都不敢拒绝，妻子叫我周末上街，更不能亏了她，因为那是妻子生活中的重要乐趣，妻子永远比领导重要一万倍。并且他会乐此不疲地欣赏妻子试穿的每一件新衣，甚至明明打算给自己买一套西装，结果却坚持给妻子买了一条吊带裙和一支口红。
