阿里在“世界读书日”宣布进军网络文学，关于腾讯的阅文集团、百度文学以及盛大集团形成的到底是一家独大还是强势力并存的局面，业内一直也未停过争议。欢乐书客的主要发起人倪燕翔对猎云表示：“网络文学是一个看起来已经被巨头揽掉的市场，未来巨头可能依然占主要份额。但是随着移动端的普及，这个市场还会有愈多亟待开发的能量显现。小说不仅仅是小说。跟影视、游戏的结合会越来越紧密。”
一周前上线的欢乐书客做的事儿就是在“开发能量”。
和运营已久的阅读平台类似，欢乐书客主体是做海量原创或非原创小说的提供平台。产品设计了书城，排行榜，分类，搜索四个模块。书客小编也会为大家精心推荐书籍。自从吴文辉在2003年10月推动起点VIP收费制度后，网络文学创作逐渐形成了一套流水线作业方式。基本的运作流程是：签约写手→作品→电子收费→书籍出版权→移动阅读权→手游或页游→影视剧改编→漫画、动漫→网络游戏→海外版权转让，影视、游戏融入后端。欢乐书客做到阅读平台和弹幕、游戏的平台融合：
一是开启弹幕阅读模式，读者可以在文章任意处发送弹幕。已有弹幕的语句将在行文右侧的侧边栏形成绿色的吐槽标记。支持点击查看功能。在文章下方黑色的模块将会有弹幕飞跃。实现和谐的动静结合。当然看书因人而异，如果你觉得看小说的私密性占了上风，弹幕也可以关闭。
二是欢乐书客在网络文学内部渗透进更多互动形式，在平台内部打造小型的垂直社区。低栏的发现界面构建5个细分：书评区，综合讨论区，书荒互助区，动态和UP主排名。可以建立自己的书友圈分享动态，打造一个书友社交圈。
三是平台建立相应等级体系，通过任务的执行来赢取奖励和更多功能权限的开放。这一板块目前还在开发中，将会以过关游戏的形式呈现。通过心理隐性措施提高用户忠诚度与活跃度。
欢乐书客主要关注的是网络文学IP 市场。既然是做内容方，吸引写手在平台入驻就是一个门槛。对于一线写手，倪燕翔表示流量购买成本太高。在这个白热化竞争的市场，欢乐书客一方面是希望通过口碑式的宣传来获取用户量。二是前期构想进攻宅圈，以在弹幕火热发源地的B站接入广告的形式获取知名度。三是与各个高校的文学社取得联系建立合作关系，发掘优质潜在写手，目前平台写手的福利超越盛大文学。
猎云网考虑到对于初创公司而言，模式的创新面临的将会是被复制的风险。倪燕翔说：“在我们看来，网络文学平台的运作是一个长期的过程。读者、作者、平台三方的忠诚度和活跃度是我们要狠抓的点。”
关于公司的盈利模式，欢乐书客表示一两年内不会做广告的植入，将会以卖内容和道具为主。一方面是传统的后续章节阅读收费，二是根据用户获取权益的高低获取合适的服务费用。至于后期规划，欢乐书客希望达到日活5万。
欢乐书客是由一只以90后为主的团队打造。已拿到200万的种子天使。
