第一次见到郭经纬的时候，感觉他是那种酷酷的男生，略显忧郁的脸庞透露着阳刚和沉稳，头发梳得一丝不苟，让人甚至怀疑他有洁癖。不过，没曾想，他其实是一个狂热的宠物发烧友，他创办的狗狗外卖平台小鲜粮更是在去年年底获得创业工场创始人麦刚领投的数百万元人民币天使投资。
郭经纬告诉创业记者，他16岁开始养宠物，前后不仅养过16只狗、5只猫，还养过鹦鹉、乌龟、猴子等动物。大学的时候因为养的宠物狗影响到舍友生活，还被赶出去校外租房。
但是，热爱宠物的他发现，当今市场上宠物粮质量参差不齐，进口宠物粮又出现信任危机，宠物主甚是无奈。而且传统狗粮为了便于保存、销售，都是面向库存生产，从出厂到狗狗食用，要经过代理商、经销商和门店等多个环节，无法保持新鲜，而且使用了各种添加剂，他觉得在移动互联网时代，一定有办法让宠物吃得更好、更健康。
于是，给狗狗送新鲜外卖的平台-小鲜粮在2015年年初上线了。郭经纬对小鲜粮的定位是“预订制宠物新鲜食品”，小鲜粮的狗粮每15天配送一次。由于新鲜狗粮不易保存，为了确保出厂到狗狗食用的时间尽量缩短，小鲜粮不零售，只接受预定生产，并且只能包年、包月购买。
“我觉得宠物天然就应该吃新鲜的东西，这是它们应该有的基本生活状态”，郭经纬对创业邦记者说道。
当然，郭经纬创办小鲜粮不仅是出于对宠物的热爱，还因为他看到了狗粮在中国的巨大市场。据他估计，中国大概有4000-5000万只宠物狗，按照每只宠物狗1500-2000元的年食物消费算的话，中国的狗粮市场应该是600-800亿元。
市场似乎也在印证着他的估测，上线两个月，目前小鲜粮的月销售额达到了10万，郭经纬表示，这是还没有进行正式展开宣传的情况下达到的业绩。
而这些成绩都来之不易。为了追求产品的极致，小鲜粮的产品先后经过了9次改进，从配方、生产工艺、包装形象、配送方式、订购方式到配送周期等环节，都进行了对细节的深入思考和改进。比如，一开始小鲜粮的包装袋设计成了方形，为了方便挤出食物，现在改成了长方形，而为了“拆开包装袋挤粮食可以像挤牙膏一样方便”，未来则还打算改成长条形。
“我可能不是一个很好的生意人，但是我是一个追求极致的产品经理”，郭经纬这样评价自己。为了把产品做到最好，小鲜粮目前只做狗粮，不做其他宠物粮，而且粮食种类只做牛肉三文鱼。
不过，自称不是“很好的生意人”的郭经纬，其实早在2011年就创办了宠物安全服务平台-看到网，并成功获得融资。看到网至今已有10万用户，还推出了帮助主人找回丢失宠物的看到卡。不仅如此，他现在还在筹建一个宠物O2O服务平台，可谓三管齐下，涉猎甚广。
说到创建多个项目的原因，郭经纬解释道，一方面是宠物行业不止有一个可以颠覆的需求点，另一方面，他认为创业者要有投资人的思维，打造不同的切中用户痛点的产品。而对于这样做的成功率问题，他表示，太追求成功就会忽视给用户提供价值这件事情，而这是他在创业过程中想专注做的事。
“如果创业一定是为了成功，我觉得就失败一半了”，郭经纬说。
也可能是他对成功的定义不同，郭经纬说他创办小鲜粮的成就感来自于自己的产品对狗狗生活的改变。“能够改变几千万只狗狗吃的方式，延长大部分中国狗狗的寿命，我觉得这是一个很伟大的事情”，郭经纬说道。他告诉创业邦记者，美国有相关研究证明，传统狗粮含有大量添加剂和致癌物质，会造成宠物寿命的缩短、癌症的提前到来。
而实际上，狗狗也改变了郭经纬。他觉得养狗狗之后，自己的世界打开了另一扇门，影响了自己和人的相处方式。
“狗是从来不会有仇恨记忆的动物，有的时候人对它比较冷漠，放错时惩罚他，但是只要给它一个笑脸一个拥抱，它马上就会忘记所有的不快，给你一个大大的拥抱”，郭经纬说，“人过多强调自己的感受，所以才有很多相处的不愉快，现在(我)会在意顾及对方的感受”。
狗狗不改变了郭经纬的世界观，也给他带来了巨大的快乐。“做宠物创业这几年，我没有一天不开心的”，郭经纬说。看到网曾经经营十分困难，甚至有3个月发不出工资，但是郭经纬却一刻也没想过放弃，网站上宠物主人上传的狗狗照片让他觉得很开心，有了做下去的动力。
郭经纬向创业邦记者透露，小鲜粮的pre-A轮融资已经基本敲定，因为他担心小鲜粮模式被其他宠物粮厂家模仿，所以小鲜粮目前面临的最大挑战是发展速度，他得‘跑得足够快’。而且，由于新鲜狗粮在市场上是新品类，用户需要时间被教育和适应，所以，他准备打算把资金用于市场培育。郭经纬希望小鲜粮接下来可以实现月销售额100万的目标，成为宠物新鲜粮的代名词。
“我坚定认为，就像苹果之于智能手机行业一样，中国的宠物行业一定会出现一家不一样的公司”，郭经纬说。
