说到吃饭，这是每个人每天都要做的事，而不同的地域不同的家庭也都有自己特色的私房菜。《舌尖上的中国》让所有食客过足了眼瘾，同时也催生了各种各样以《舌尖》出现过的美食作为切入口的电商。但单纯的刺激味蕾并不能满足用户，真正的体验私厨美食才是广大食客想要的。吃吃饭App恰好为嘴馋的人和有制作美食技能的个人提供了这样一个“解渴”、交流的平台，通过以美食作为切入，达到社交的最终目的。
产品使用起来非常简单，注册登录后，如果你想让别人品尝你的美食，在后台填入菜品、邀请人数、价格、时间等可选信息，便可以发布邀请朋友品尝美食。如果你是吃货，只要根据自己的用餐喜好，用餐地点等信息进行搜索，吃吃饭便会显示匹配的主人，然后点击预约即可等待邀约品尝美食。在完成了饭局后，还可进行线上点评，为之后到访的用户作为参考依据。
吃吃饭App的是其创始人茅雷雷风趣的评价自己“一个做厨师也想进互联网了，虽然不被看好，但是我执行了。”小编一看便觉得这一定是个有故事的男人，于是与他取得了联系。
不出所料，茅雷雷一直在创业中走来，做过电商、开过酒吧、做过餐厅、也有自己的婚庆工作室。自己也曾去法国学习甜品，在这个过程中体验到了分享私人厨房的乐趣。回国后，去云南寻找当地古法甜品，打算创造一个新的甜品品牌，搜寻中经前老板的客户的朋友的姐妹认识了一户人家，借其厨房，为主人家烧了一顿美味大餐，就这样结识了现在的妻子(没错！)。他觉得这样的体验非常棒，回想了早年做美食节目的经历和法国的私厨经历，因此决定搭建一个这样的平台。
中国有4.6亿个家庭，《舌尖》已经帮私厨项目做了最好的验证，每个人都有这种需求。吃吃饭不仅满足了这种需求，更很好的解决了社会闲散资源问题，为有制作美食技能的个人提供创业的机会，也为线上线下的诚信体系搭建了一个很好的平台。在共享经济时代，滴滴解决了汽车共享、Airbnb解决了房屋共享，而美食共享刚起步，虽然国内很多投资人都对食品卫生安全持谨慎态度，但是吃吃饭也尝试解决这一问题。
说道用户，茅雷雷介绍到“根据目前国内外的一些个人私厨发布的情况来看，主人都是很小资，年轻化，高学历，海归，专业性强，是非常热爱美食的一群人，基本偏向中高端人群，用餐人群也是相应的。私厨，在一般人眼里还是个很有距离和门槛的职业，但新生事物总是要有人去引导，当吃吃饭平台简化了一些门槛后，为后面战略化的双系统用户模式做好了准备，为更多的人进入美食共享时代提供了有意思的平台。”
为了让用户建立安全感，吃吃饭也有自己的诚信体系。包括点评机制，并且正在和专业的第三方机构商谈为每一位平台用户建立一对一的保障体系，但真正的安全感是要用体验来获得，线下社交可以建立良好的信任感，从而想参与更多的体验。美食的真谛也在于分享，若无人来分享，一人独食有何意义?打开房门，走出去，请进来，别让钢筋水泥阻隔人类的交流!美食正是一个非常好的切入点!
目前，吃吃饭尚在内测中未正式上线，但已经和方太集团旗下即将发布的全国63家顶级厨电馆达成意向合作，同时TCL集团也有意向开放吃吃饭平台接口，植入智能冰箱液晶屏，做针对社区的美食分享。在未来，吃吃饭也将在完善体验的同时开拓更多线下功能，如利用平台挖掘包装个人品牌，成立更多独立公司;半成品配送;开发各种家庭厨房用品;做杂志及美食视频，通过各种跨界与不跨界合作，让更多的人有创业的机会，参与到美食分享中来!
