前段时间，一批内地制造的卫生巾由于被检测出辐射严重超标，高达35倍，在黎巴嫩机场被扣押，这引发了国内外众多女性的恐慌。卫生巾作为成年女性的生活必备品，与女性的身体健康息息相关。中国频频爆发的卫生巾安全问题，包括之前检测出可迁移性荧光增白剂等，对女性来说都是一个威胁。午后团队基于这些现实状况，利用互联网思维设计了午后这一卫生巾品牌，初衷是为女性提供优质的卫生巾。
据了解，午后卫生巾是江西汉中科技有限公司旗下产品，是一个女性护理用品电商品牌，它采用互联网模式运营卫生巾品牌、广大女性参与体验改进的新模式。江西汉中科技有限公司成立于2013年4月，前身是做源代码的软件开发公司，其后转型为一家专注于女性护理与健康的移动互联网公司，公司规模达25人。新华社等多家媒体对午后卫生巾创业团队进行了报道。
“只为保护女人”是午后的产品理念。“午后代表浪漫、温暖，我们希望给用户带去这种感觉”，午后卫生巾的创始人陈章文对猎云网说。他毕业于南昌航空大学信息管理与信息系统专业，也是一位连续创业者。萌发午后卫生巾的想法是一段佳话。一次，女友过敏去医院检查，医生说可能是因为用了劣质卫生巾引起的，加之平时陈章文也经常为女友买卫生巾，所以他萌发了要做一个优质卫生巾品牌的想法。
由于之前做IT行业的经验，陈章文联合同学以及朋友开始研发了午后这一品牌。通过行业对比以及向相关协会咨询，午后团队发现市场上没有那种面长、透气性好的优质卫生巾，所以他们采购国内外全球先进的原材料，打孔无纺布、膨化纸、硅油护翼离型纸、纯纳米外包膜等等，花费的成本是传统电商的三倍，再放到福建泉州一家具有15、16年卫生巾生产历史的工厂进行加工生产。目前，产品已经注册商标。
“我们是按照互联网思维设计的产品，接触皮肤的第一层是棉质，采用国内先进的材料，包装上基本没有多少修饰，这个社会很复杂，我们希望女生用这个的时候思维很简约，特别是经期不再烦躁”，创始人陈章文告诉猎云网。
猎云网了解到，午后卫生巾PC端官网在2014年4月底上线，现在网站注册会员已达到20多万。午后已经陆续发布了产品1.0和2.0，总计生产了4批产品，大概40多万包卫生巾的数量。目前，午后团队正在打造卫生巾3.0，将在卫生巾原材料、透气性、吸水性做进一步提升。现在，网站每天能够售出大概200包的产品。
2013年午后卫生巾开创“午后女人保护节”，在5月25日当天，向全国免费发送一亿片卫生巾，同时产品折价出售，当时收到良好效果。
谈及相对传统卫生巾电商，陈章文表示“他们知道怎样做一个尖端产品，但是渠道成本很高，只能采用一般的材料，对于我们来说，午后的优势在于性价比比较高，在后面我们会直接采用直销的方式，与各地合作建仓，24小时到货”。
陈章文向猎云网透露，午后今后将主要生产两个层次的产品，一个是价格在几百块的高端产品，另一个则是注重性价比的相对低端的产品，建立一个互联网商城。当市场份额达到20%~30%后，午后将会扩大产品服务范围，像屈臣氏一样，在线下专门成立互联网日化店，建立一个日化品商城，打造一个日化品互联网品牌，40%出售原创品牌，60%其他优质商品品牌。
2013年，江西汉中科技有限公司已完成200万元天使融资，之后一年，午后也通过产品销售实现了盈利，目前，午后卫生巾产品3.0已经成熟，陈章文表示将继续融资，扩大生产。
