陈炜的团队很鸡贼，爱空间B轮融资发布会就选在了他们公司家居体验馆的负一层，连场馆钱都省了，没请漂亮礼仪，一群年轻人穿着印着公司口号的卫衣忙前忙后，简单的张灯结彩，这场面难以称得上盛大；陈炜上台，很得意雷军投资的6000万A轮到现在只花了三分之一，他直言自己不喜欢铺张，在台上他花了一小时，阐述自己的“互联网家装”理想，而在台下，发布会还未结束，隔壁家居体验馆里，年轻的设计师团队已经在忙着接待现场被邀来的意向用户。
一. 从南昌到北京
陈炜今年42岁了，他说自己是个连续创业者，还打趣说现在满北京都是连续创业者。
1994年，陈炜还很年轻，那时候他还很瘦，有点书生气。毕业之后他的档案被扔到了江西省火电建设公司，一年之后就受不了辞职了，用他自己话说“不喜欢国企一辈子望到头的生活”。他隐约感觉到“外界正在发生着变化。”他辞职，和朋友开代理公司，10个月就倒闭了，负债两万，“那时心都凉了”他回到家乡，不敢和父母说丢了工作。
在家乡非常失意的混了几年之后，某天陈炜突然得知当初一起创业的一个发小报考清华MBA，陈炜深受刺激，觉得自己蹉跎了。那时他的人生又开始进入一个相对平稳的阶段，在平安保险做培训部经理，待遇马马虎虎，没有什么成就感。用他自己的话说，“精神与物质资源都极度贫瘠，每天思想都在挣扎”，2000年，他又把工作辞了，决定去北京。
火车在路上颠簸了二十多个小时，一下火车，迎接他的是京城零下十五度的冬天，他在清华附件租了一个简陋的单间，闭门学习了几个月，真的如愿考上了清华MBA，在那里他认识了科宝博洛尼的创始人蔡明。
毕业后，陈炜在博洛尼做了整整七年职业经理人，这七年正好是国家房地产行业腾飞的一年，房地产带动了家装这一刚性需求，开发商们需要一个总包公司，提供一个整体家装的解决方案。陈炜向公司提出这一想法，但董事会认为公司应该专注家居橱柜，陈炜等不及了，2010年陈炜离开博洛尼，决定再次创业。第一个项目没有他想象的成功，陈炜不甘心，又创了一个，取名爱空间。
二. 雷军支招，解放一代年轻人
在小米卷石天地的办公室里，陈炜见到了日后成为爱空间A轮融资的投资人：雷军。当时小米想涉及智能家居领域，谈话持续了一个半小时，超出了雷军与其他被投资人见面的平均时长。“解放一代年轻人”的口号是雷军提出的，一番协商之后雷军同意了A轮融资。但只有一个条件，必须想办法将装修工期缩短到20天！
现在看这绝对是个迷人的商业概念，因为尽管客户对工期不是第一需求，但20天非常不可思议，所有听到的人都会自动传播。雷军显然知道这一点，今天装修用户不在乎时间，把时间要求排在第三位，并不代表客户对时间没有敏感性，如果未来互联网家装能把时间缩短到20天甚至更短，装修就会从低频会变成高频，尤其是二手房，很在意工期，在北上广时间就是金钱。
20天的工期，在业内听来几乎是不可能的任务，陈炜咬咬牙答应了，当时他之和万科合作做过最快25天的装修，要做到这个目标必须满足三点。
1.建立自有装修工人，自有工人相比传统家装的外包，更方便控制效率，同时，相对多数传统家装采用的分包模式，相对容易保证工程质量，在家装服务中不会产生不确定性。
2.完善的供应链和自己的材料仓储，这一点陈炜相对来说并不担心，因为有早期家居经理人时代的积累，同时博洛尼也给予了相当多的支持。
3.强大的ERP体系，确保家居建材调度与效率，让材料等工人，不让工人等材料，第三点最为关键。传统家装50%的时间都被浪费掉，都在等待下一个工序。而互联的装修，能够随时随地知道需要什么，这一切背后比拼的就是ERP系统。
三. 出生就是一场虎口夺食的硬仗
2015年的家装市场并不太平，顶着“小米家装”“互联网装修代表公司”的头衔，爱空间这家初创公司一边要面临传统家装的敌视和质疑，另一边，新兴的互联网装修又乐于拿他们进行“碰瓷”炒作与对比，更有一些家装大佬等着看这帮门外汉的笑话。
年初邦地产记者的一篇关于雷军投资家装的稿件点燃了舆论，三月里雷军一篇急于撇清的《小米不会做家装和房地产》的声明，又把爱空间顶到了媒体的风口浪尖，他们被冠以颠覆者的姿态，20天工期，699套餐，和产业工人的概念，在年初引爆了北京的家装市场，团队被惊呆了，懵然之间一口气接下了北京五百家工地的预约，很快超过了自有装修工人的消化能力，订单爆仓，当时没人知道事情会这么严重，产能跟不上，尤其是木作，所有人都傻了。
团队所有人赶到仓库理货，工人们加班加点施工，即使这样，依然挡不住一些业主对工期的抱怨，一些舆论开始唱衰，老陈召集团队紧急开会，处理方式就是延期一天就在业主微信群里发红包，他后来开玩笑管那叫“四月红包雨”，每天千分之三的赔款，一般是200多元的红包，有时攒够四五天，一口气全打给业主，四月的延期赔款达到一百多万。
“那是爱空间草创之初最艰难的时刻，压力巨大，用老罗的话说，如果你是个有争议的人，那么很多人会乐于看你的笑话。”这次“爱粉节”上请到的几位铁杆用户，就是在当时挺身而出表示理解的用户，这些人主动安抚其他业主情绪。最后，花了两个月时间消化，爱空间勉强吃下了这块烫手山芋，陈炜带领团队给家装业内和投资人交出了第一份成绩单。团队松了一口气后惊讶地发现经过整改和调整，业务的产能上去了，用陈炜的话说：团队升维了。
四. 这是当年京东走过的路
几年前，当京东打算要自建物流体系的时候，不看好的声音此起彼伏，但现在看来，京东若是没有像现在这样速度惊人的物流，可能也就不会有“猫狗大战”的局面。
与其他家装O2O创业者热衷于项目做轻不同，在陈炜看来，京东的做法标志着一种电商行业内的升级，互联网创新由广度走向深度是它背后的大趋势，B轮之后，爱空间忙着两件事，一是“城市合伙人”的全国扩张策略，二是打造更多的产业工人团队。
目前爱空间已经完成包括北京、上海、广州、深圳、成都等大城市在内的12个城市的分站拓展，2016年计划达到布局50个城市。各个城市都会新建爱空间的体验中心，自有仓储管理，木做产品库、总材库，客户订单生成经由后台分配到仓库，经过分捡打包运送至客户家。这就像当年京东走过的路。
快速扩张背后，是优秀家装工人的缺口，一条产业工人供应链正在迅速打造，爱空间与四川大凉山的职校合作，直接培训学生从事家装产业，这些学生年轻，认真，身上没有江湖气，通过装修产业工人的正规培训，他们也非常容易可以从快速从山区融入北上广这样的大城市，并且获得一份不错的收入。“我们要用数字化连接武装一线员工，开发新的客户管理系统，通过强大后端衔接多个系统，工人移动ERP系统，即时通讯，工程实施时全面掌控数据。通过激励体系，提升效率、降低成本，从而提升消费者口碑。”
在采访中，陈炜私下透露了一条新发现：除了瓦工需要比较老练，油工木工水电让一个中专生培训经过专业的三个月培训可以做的相当好了，这个行业的手艺人并不像外界想象的具有很高的专业门槛，缺少的仅仅是吃苦精神加上正规的教育培训。
陈炜给爱空间算了一笔账，北京的盈亏平衡点是400单一个月、上海则是270单，截至2015年12月，爱空间在全国收取订金客户总数达到1万多户，全国签约合同客户达到2355户，口碑传播是主要客源，客户选择爱空间的第一因素是“省心”。一般人难以发觉，省心暗藏的理念却是用户潜意识并不想主动选择，陈炜一直坚持“少即是多”，例如门都是一个标准尺寸，直接帮用户选择；装修工序被分解成四百多步，以标准化的时间节点串联起来，客户得按着他们的节奏走“我要做的是更少、更方便、更简单。”
五. 逆袭传统，也担心被传统逆袭？
陈炜并不在意别的同行拿爱空间炒作或者碰瓷，他觉得自己在面临互联网和传统家装的较量，或者与业内对装修工人这个群体的社会歧视较量 “我很想让人觉得装修工人是个值得社会尊重的群体。”
现在标准化X99/元每平米的装修套餐已经成为了各家家装公司的产品标配。“是的，爱空间的数字套餐其实最容易被模仿，但是没人敢打出比20天更短的工期，工期本身并不重要，甚至业主也认为不重要，但工期是效率和ERP的体现，这才是家装服务的核心竞争力。”
2015年，爱空间从零到10047单花了一年时间，而在北京，过去最牛的家装公司是一年3000单，除了提防着传统家装的逆袭，陈炜也有自己的担忧，每当爱空间扩展一座城市，陈炜都会亲自到场，一年中真正坐镇公司的日子还不到三分之一，团队人数急速扩张，员工太年轻，管理压力也随之而来，“年初还没有这么多人，现在我尽力做到每个人都认识。”由于“第一”的头衔，在爱空间之前，陈炜并没有先例可参考，作为公司的掌舵人，他能看多远，公司便能走多远。而这个时代，对创业者的挑战是巨大的，模式变得越来越新，跨界越来越大，发展越来越快，有些创始人甚至还没来得及看懂，就被快速迭代的模式淘汰。
六. 明年是互联网装修的胜负手
采访手记：最后，我问陈炜，觉得自己创业到今天算不算成功了，这其实是个比较没有水平的问题，但站在我的角度和年龄，我很想知道他们这样创业者的内心想法，陈炜后来说了一段话。
“别人只是觉得这一年跑得快，但现在想想，我的创业经历从很早就开始了。如果没有第一次创业的失败，我不会受刺激去北京读书；离开待了七年的博洛尼，不是第一个项目碰壁，更不会知道如何把供应链各个环节都整合好；我不在意别人拿我们炒作，因为只会玩概念的公司最终都会死掉，我们这一年都在练内功，爱空间一直签单即收全款的，古往今来，据我所知我们还是第一家，业主肯这么做完全是因为信任，这算是我们今年小小地改变了行业的第一步，但今年我们还没有拉开足够的差距，随着全国扩张，明年才是真正决定互联网家装胜负手的一年。”
