12月3日，澎湃新闻报道位于上海虹梅路的丁丁网总部办公室一片狼藉，空无一人，联系不到丁丁网客服，网站多个频道也打不开。而公司前员工曾表示，11月初，丁丁网数百名员工离职，“只知道公司经营不善，其他不知道。”
丁丁网CEO徐龙江对此回应道，媒体报道中的“失联”，误会可能缘于总部的搬走，在经过大规模调整、裁员后，丁丁网已搬迁至较小的办公室，将砍掉大部分业务频道，专注做最核心的丁丁地图路线服务。
在丁丁网官方微信公号庆祝十周年的文章中，“十年……我终于失去你了么？你好像并不在意，但我们一直在努力……丁丁地图仍在，丁丁优惠不减，丁丁装修再次启程……”。
你突然发现，原来十年以上的互联网公司不止大众点评一家，2005年建立的丁丁网，也已经走过了十年春秋。不同的是，大众点评一路风生水起，即使在和美团合并之后依然保留了其生态骨架，而丁丁，却已经快从人们记忆中淡出了。
百度新闻中搜索丁丁网，除了丁丁网人去楼空的新闻，最新的一条竟然是几年前丁丁获阿里投资的新闻。在本地生活领域，05年建立的丁丁其实算是占据了先机，而究竟是哪些弯路让丁丁逐渐丧失了先发优势？
移联网时过境迁的地图业务
十年前，丁丁网以“丁丁地图”起家，公司拥有自主研发的位置引擎和搜索技术，专注于本地生活搜索领域，定位于本地生活搜索专家。因为较早切入地图搜索领域，PC时代丁丁一度成为人们打开电脑搜索路线的必备工具，地图广告收入也成为了公司营收的大头，有甚者，商家若要在地图标上名字都需要交钱。
而后随着智能手机的普及，移联网时代的出现颠覆了很多行业，其中也包括地图领域。随着高德、百度地图等的迅猛发展，地图作为入口全面免费，丁丁地图的领先优势也被不断压缩，直至面临被挤出的局面。
艾美咨询2015年上半年中国手机地区应用市场调查数据显示，高德、百度地图占据了近60%的市场份额，其后是谷歌、腾讯、搜狗等地图。
让人记不住的多元发展
在地图业务带来的盈利空间逐渐萎缩之后，丁丁的主要业务条线由最初的交通查询、地图服务，向超综合网站迈步，开始了疯狂的扩张。
结婚、家居装修、城市丽人、学车、母婴亲子、医疗健康、美食、休闲健身、酒店旅游、生活彩票、培训房产等等让人应接不暇的频道化产品，你很难说这些频道之间完全没有关系，但在初期春笋般涌现的手机应用中，最重要的是要让用户记住，也就是你得有爆点。
直至2010年底，丁丁网成立移动事业部，专做手机优惠券业务，丁丁优惠APP发布一年，下载量达到900万。明确的定位也给丁丁带来了阿里先后两次的注资，阿里资本董事总经理张鸿平表示丁丁优惠是本地生活领域通往O2O电商平台的最佳渠道之一。
扩张过快，难以为继
福祸相依，丁丁在2012年获得阿里与花旗银行4000万美元融资之后，就开始在全国迅速扩张，建立大量分站，而时间仅过去5个月，又有消息传出丁丁获阿里增持，烧钱之快令人咋舌。
最高峰的时候，丁丁网总部有800人，共40家左右的分站，每站约有20人，共计1600人，在不到一年的时间里，丁丁的人员扩充了一倍以上。
但过快的扩张并不意味着盈利就唾手可得，丁丁想要通过佣金的方式实现盈利，但事实上，这样从商家分成的盈利模式，并不足以负担大体量之下公司高昂的运营成本，丁丁不得已将分站裁撤至20家，而随后，丁丁高层更是痛下了关闭全部分站的狠心，并采取N+1补偿方式全员解散。
管理层战略方向不明
丁丁优惠华东某分站的一位朋友认为，“丁丁优惠到今天是多方面的原因，总部方向不明、朝令夕改，分站无自主权，有心无力。而丁丁高管们对业务的再三调整，也是源于战略不清，管理混乱。”
自丁丁于2012年下半年疯狂扩张始，丁丁以尽可能多的签订商户为第一目标；而后盈利上升有限，丁丁转而以押金方式向商户铺设验证机，并对商户维护从数量转向以质量为导向；然而，丁丁总部在名为“遵义会议”的讨论后，又从收费导向回到了用户扩张为第一目标的老路上；当江苏常州因为采取代理制，迅速做出业绩后，常州成为了丁丁的标兵城市，各大城市分站再度转向交易指标。
管理层的朝令夕改让地方分站苦不堪言，不断在用户和交易辗转徘徊，围绕着双重指标团团转，最后“只好以明说代理，实则关站的方式，结束了两年的疯狂之旅。”
曾经投资过丁丁的阿里在不断试错之后，今年6月重启口碑，增长势头有目共睹；美团阿里十月合并，一日成为霸主；百度200亿元狠砸糯米，全情投入。
“其兴也勃焉，其亡也忽焉。”丁丁的这十年，不免让人唏嘘，而如今，又想重回地图服务的丁丁，恐怕市场已经没有它的立足之地了。
