上次我们了解了英语高频词“Take”的五个搭配“take off, take over, take care of, take place, take away ”的含义和用法，这期我们继续：
6.“Take up”有多个含义“开始从事；占用（时间、空间或精力）；接受（建议或挑战）；着手处理（问题、事业等）；就任（岗位、职业）”，下面我们看几个例子：
Cris took up (开始从事)American talk show five years ago and gradually became well-known in his hometown.
This job will not take up (占用)too much of your energy.
He took up(接受) the offer of working in Microsoft Beijing office last week.
Shirley has taken up (已经着手中国农村扶贫事业)the cause of eradicating poverty in Chinese rural areas.
Frank will take up (就任)his post as the president of the prestigious university at the beginning of May.
7.“Take out”意为"去掉；取得（贷款、许可、保险等）；取出；带…出去(吃喝玩乐)"，如The doctor took out the patient's epityphlon(割掉了病人的阑尾) in the operation.
I have to take out a business license(取得营业执照) from the commerce bureau before starting my company's business.
The robber took out a knife(取出一把刀) from his backpack and injured several passersby in a busy commercial street in Rio.
Lucy took me out to dinner(请我出去吃晚餐).
8.“Take advantage of”意为“利用…”，通常指利用…获得某种好处或利益，其含义与“make use of”接近，两者经常可以换用，如To take advantage of favorable corporate tax laws(为了利用有利的企业所得税法), the new company will be based in Ireland.
9.“Take into account…”意为“考虑…”，如When you start getting into longer-term investment in a country, you need to take into account its government policies.
10.“Take the lead”意为“带头、牵头”，如Officials at all levels should take the lead in saving food and water(带头节约食物和水).
