Two new Vocabulary words of the day!!

Rendition ~ Latent
1. Rendition ~ n. A performance or interpretation, especially of a dramatic role or piece of music or novel. i.e. Dot's rendition of that new song is the best! A rendition is an interpretation, performance, or translation; in your own style. Whitney Houston's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner is still used at games today.
2. Latent ~ adj. Hidden, present or existing, but in an underdeveloped or unexpressed form. Present but unexpressed, (in psychoanalysis) present in the unconscious but not consciously expressed. The adjective latent is a tricky word to define because it refers to something there but not there. That is, latent means something that is capable of becoming active or at hand but has not yet achieved that state. i.e. The child defiantly has a latent talent for music; I hope she peruses it before very long. Existing or present but concealed or inactive.
