3.Broadcast suppression offers a technique to efficiently limit these broadcast frames on the network. It helps to provide secure layer 2 communications by preventing frames from being broadcasted to all devices on the LAN. It also helps reduce display overhead, resulting in improved network performance.

4.Broadcast suppression detects the broadcast frames from the source and filters them using a predefined filtering rule. The filtering rules can be configured for specific types of frames such as BMAC broadcast frames, DHCP broadcast frames, ARP broadcast frames and layer 2 multicast frames.
